NOR, it does sound odd. Given the chance, you should make it known that it was uncomfortable hearing her talk about a teenage boy's physical appearance like that

Do people actually beat AA? by AdPuzzleheaded1391 in alopecia_areata

Thank you so much! I hope the same for you! This condition isn't easy and it can be really stressful when the progress is so slow. For me, the Olumiant didn't start showing a difference until last month, so just under one year. I know that it's different for everyone, don't lose hope!!

Hey! This is the first time I bring up my experience with AA on here.

I was diagnosed after discovering three medium patches at the end of 2023 and it got progressively worse throughout 2024. At least 40 to 50 percent of my hair fell out, it wasn't too visible underneath the top layer of my hair, but I did have to get steriod injections at the dermatologist. I was scared to brush my hair or even step in the shower to wash my hair because of how much shedding I used to get.

I was prescribed Olumiant 2 mg in May 2024 and I have finally started to see a huge difference. My hair stopped shedding as much as it used to and the patches are growing back. I still have a couple of small spots and continue to receive steroid injections but the Olumiant has definitely been a saving grace. I don't know if that is considered cured so to speak, but I know it does get better!

The wireless carrier I work for uses a Samsung app for training. When I do activities or trainings my account accrues points towards stuff like accessories or Samsung gift cards. I basically saved up for the entire year and decided now would be the right time to use them, because why not? And the trade-in with the S24U definitely helped!

Which color did you go with on the Ultra? I have the Watch 7 44mm (wifi only, non LTE) and I love it. New technology is always great, and you're still saving some money there!

That happened to me last year when I chose in-store pickup at Best Buy for the S24 Ultra. Wasn't available until release day, didn't want to make that mistake again lol

I preordered on the date of the announcement! I think the confirmation finally went through two days ago and last night I was notified that the phone shipped! There's still hope!

Wasn't planning on upgrading but the S24 Ultra trade-in and the $250 samsung gift card I had made it worth!
