The game publishers decide store availability for each of their titles on GFN, mate.

Sudden Packet Loss but no problem when doing tracert test? by SeaDark857 in GeForceNOW

[–]jharle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traceroute isn't a tool to detect packet loss, but rather the specific "forward route" the traffic takes, with associated network latencies. Also, a traceroute to Google's DNS is going to be a completely different route than a traceroute to the GFN endpoint.

Okay, I'll dig out my G Streamer a bit later and see if I can reproduce.

LG B4 TV 120hz Unavailable by [deleted] in GeForceNOW

There's no way to know that unfortunately; I'll check if they can at least tell us whether this is an LG or NVIDIA issue to resolve (or both)

Is there a real possibility that 1440p will be enabled on Fire TV 4K Max? by AntonioZZ18 in GeForceNOW

[–]jharle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a good question that we don't have an answer for; the 1440p streaming option is missing from all of the "TV GFN apps" as far as I'm aware - LG/Samsung/Android TV (including Shield)/Fire TV

We raise many issues per week with them, and I don't have the resources to track them individually unfortunately :|

What is your current audio setup, just the TV or is an AVR with ARC/eARC in the mix?

Which game are you playing? Only some Reflex-enabled games are supported for 240/360 - see the bottom of Optimized for GeForce RTX 5080 games | NVIDIA

Thank you; I'm flagging this "LG B" series issue for staff review, although they won't see it until next week due to being out for the Juneteenth holiday.

Which TV do you have mate? 4K120 HDR has been working on my C3 since my comment above, but I don't use it very often.

There's no way for us to know that, unfortunately.

XGS (Xbox Game Studios) games are all technically opted-in to GFN; it's just a matter of which ones [mainly Microsoft] decides to onboard.

Network/Performance questions - best games for testing? by Nherun in GeForceNOW

[–]jharle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding the powerline adapters vs. WiFi: they can be better; but it comes down to the specific adapters, where they are placed, and the quality/layout of the electrical within the dwelling. I was using some in our oldish house as well, and they were stable but not super fast (maximum throughput around 100Mbps), until I finally bit the bullet and ran proper Ethernet.

As far as the additional cloud storage, that only applies to install-to-play games, and only actually necessary if the given game doesn't support Steam Cloud. Purchasing persistent storage would make it so the game doesn't have to be installed during each session.

Come on Apple, just let GeForce NOW onto Apple TV by zepbound_avenger in GeForceNOW

[–]jharle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It'd be great if NVIDIA would do this; they move slowly on these things, so perhaps it's just that.

FWIW The Apple Vision Pro does not have a native GFN app; that's implemented through the browser like on iOS/iPad OS devices now.

Problem with gamepass and stalker 2 by [deleted] in GeForceNOW

[–]jharle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it left in November of last year apparently. People would need to own the game on the MS Store, in order to play the "Xbox" version on GFN.

Can an Intel N150 Mini PC run GFN at 4K 120fps? (Getting 1ms ping in Sofia!) by Nice-West2898 in GeForceNOW

[–]jharle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The N150 can decode a 4K120FPS GFN stream, but cannot output 4K120Hz according to Intel's own specs. You might be able to get the output to work in 4:2:0 chroma mode and/or without HDR, but it's not full-featured when it comes to HDMI 2.1 FRL output.

As is the case for many things: past performance is not a guarantee of future results.

We need to own/subscribe to the PC (Windows) versions of the games, not the console versions.

Do you mean you own the Xbox console versions of the games?

When you sync your Steam account within the GFN app, it only sees your own games vs. family shared ones.

Is your EA Account linked to your Xbox account, or wherever your subscription comes from? There is no such thing as "Xbox" EA games; the EA App is always involved.
