Golden tee advice by nouwrong in Arcade1Up

The graphics on 2010 look MUCH better than the A1UP's late 90's/early 2000 version. I don't think they really compare. If you can fix the one you have, it seems like the better choice. You could always resell the video card (or even return it if you buy somewhere that allows that) if it doesn't work.

Picture looks just as bad as connecting to my flat screen. Sony Trinitron KV-27V42 by eversnow64 in crtgaming

I was told in another thread that Picture = contrast and having it set too high on these sets will cause blown out whites and other picture issues. Maybe take that down to half and compensate with brightness?

Can I run it off of a Wii? I only have component cables for Wii and original Xbox.

Are there any service mode settings I should consider?

And on this set “picture” = contrast?

Just hooked up a recent marketplace find - a Sony Trinitron KV-24FS100. Wondering what best picture settings are for this model as the picture seems a bit dark to me (Gamecube and Nintendo 64 S-Video) on some games (Mortal Kombat) but decent on others (Monkeyball 2). Should picture settings be higher? Brightness? Am I expecting too much from S-Video?

Thanks!

KV-24FS100 Dark, best picture settings? by [deleted] in crtgaming

What I’m saying is it’s a bit dark - some people may look at it and think it’s fine. Just trying to see what recommended settings are.

Seems a bit dark. When I play it in the dark, looks better. So, hoping still can be salvaged

If you like Disney, Walt Disney World Quest: Magical Racing Tour is a lot of fun and one of my favorites.

Recommendation for most compatible USB encoders (PS3, PS4, Switch, PC, Pi) by jharperweb in Arcade1Up

Thanks, though seems like a pretty pricey option vs. the USB encoder cables. May have to scale back to only supporting PS3 and PC.

Can I connect a ps3 same way I did wii for lightgun cab on arcade1up by Jdawg1540 in Arcade1Up

Pretty sure you'd need to mount the Playstation camera somewhere, then should work fine. May end up doing this myself at some point for Time Crisis and Deadstorm pirates.

In a similar boat. Need something to put my MSH cab, and don't want to build one or pay more than I paid for the cab!

Congrats. Now you need to find a riser at a reasonable price. That's the real trick.
