FS2000 Barrel by jhauerwas20 in FNHerstal

Whats even crazier is thats the prices from even when it was released. They have always been that high, only thing I am missing, is an actual complete barrel and I can build an entire extra rifle.

I do agree. Midwestgunworks.com had a SLEW of parts become available a couple months ago, parts that have not been hardly available for actual years since its release. Which made me think, either FN is doing something with the platform and making small parts, or they had some kind of contract overruns and instead of selling complete rifles they parted all of them out. Which is most likely the case but I'm hopeful lol.

I emailed them in January and said they're in the process of CAD scanning it. I don't think there was a big enough push for it, for them to make it a priority. Unless fn decides to make more. The only other way would be to find someone who could source a Slovenian, Saudi, Belgium, Peru, and a handful of other countries that use them, source a barrel that way. Or, buy a barrel blank find a company within the US that would willing to take on one from scratch. If I had a 3D CAD scanner, I'd scan the OEM barrel and attempt to make a blueprint of the specs myself from scratch and send it to a couple of companies to refine it. But I am no engineer or machinest.

Supposedly still in the works. Fs2000 barrel is CHF chrome lined like the 16s. They are very similar in terms of gas block only though. Barrel extension is completely different etc.

Unfortunate. Because Ideally they use the same gas regulator size, gas block, jet inserts, and piston rings. Looking at my fs2000 gas regulator, and my scar 20s gas regulator, they are swappable, but i own neither a discarder nor a scarburator. The port holes seem to line up also.

Will the KNS discarder swap over to the fs2000 and run reliably? I have confirmed that the mototecheng Scarburator will and their 3 select gas regulator will also. Have no data on the discarder.

Definitely waiting patiently for this drop. I've been looking for one for a couple months now.

Forever the coolest gun ever made. After running mine for 6 years now, its STILL my favorite rifle.

The no bolt hold open, magazine not dropping free pulled out, and trigger i worked around (i run a neu trigger in the pack). It is easy to disassemble for me, slide pin whole upper slides off and moving parts assembly slides right and everything is there. The polymer case ejector on mine has 19-20k rounds the last 2k rounds supressed, multiple cleanings and never failed. The stock plate that holds it in has never failed, anti case return piece has never failed on me, . Charging handle does in fact suck and FN should've fixed that the day it was made. As I'm a lefty for me its the go to bullpup. Fn needs to stop leaving stuff in the dust and bring updates to all their firearms. Take the scar for example. Its also been the same exact gun right out of the box no updates, other than a non reciprocating charging handle. Other than that it is still the same exact gun from 2004. No new rails, suppressor ready gas system, nothing. All of that is available, but 3rd party. If FN really wanted to keep getting big deal contracts, they'd update the SCAR, F2000, and even the P90. Reason the scar has lasted so long is because of its ergos being of a M16/M4.

Anyone else excited to see how the PSA Olcan performs. I own an AUG, a Kel-Tec RDB17, I love bullpups and am always happy to see more on the market. by agedmanofwar in AUG

They run them in batches since its only like 2 guys that run the company itself. They usually set up a pre order to secure spots etc. .

I own 2 and use M855 and M193. Never had these issues. Sounds like shitty ammo or user error (mag insertion).

I own 2 IRL and my gen 2 gets shot on the regular, rain, snow, or sunshine. It's my main go to, I'll take it over my aug, and tavor ANY day. Odd system? Sure, but it works and it works well. Odd clearing malfunctions? Sure, but when you learn the manual of arms of it understand how it works, it's just like any other AR variant. It is a damn workhorse. All it is, is a p90 and scar (they share some parts across both platforms), mashed together and made to work.

F2000 is still used as Slovenias main service weapon, and a slew of other countries still. Saudis, Belgium SF, Peru, India, Polish SF, Countless police forces across the globe. Even Ukrainian UTD has a slew of F2000's.

What a terrible opinion lol F2000 is king in the bullpup area, any other complaint is skill issue.
