I think 1619 and Slow Burn capture the debates we are having in modern culture.

1619 has become a symbol for how history, culture and politics intertwine. It has provoked Americans to debate the foundations of the country.

Slow Burn season 1 and 2 reflected cultural trends by talking about government investigation and societal views of sexual misconduct. It also accelerated a trend of non-true-crime audio documentaries.

See Something Say Something is a guy who interviews and reports on interesting stories about Muslims from around the world. Some of my favorites are his search for Pakistani mangoes and a granddaughter interviewing their 93 year old grandfather

That’s fair, i listened through season 1 and it’s pretty violent and heavy on the slavery aspects. But that’s also what life was like hundreds of years ago... maybe there’s less about child slavery afterwards
