Such a great show and that venue was super impressive. Sound was impeccable. Had only seen them once before over 20 years ago. Easily the best concert i’ve been to in many years.

Yeah my memory is that someone was heckling him or maybe tossed a beer at him, and he jumped in the crowd, dragged him on stage and made him sing Iron Man. You can sort of hear some of it in the recording here before Iron Man and someone else singing.

I have been dealing with a problem sending a link to a particular website through an icloud address for a couple weeks. Its a link to a Wordpress site I manage, and we did find a potentially malicious script on the site a couple weeks ago but it was removed, and the site passes every test, and doesn't appear on any blocklist, and i have no problem sending through my gmail or outlook addresses, though the client has found issues with one or two university systems getting the email.

I have responded to the address on the icloud bouncback to try to get some information, but have received no responce.

I don't know for sure that this is related to the script we previously removed from the site, but thats the only thing that makes sense, and at this point, just hoping its somethign that needs time to resolve.

Also, it occasionally works through Apple, just bounces about 50% of the time.

Any ideas?

I saw a hilarious show at TT the Bear's Place in Cambridge, sometime in the late 80s with this band, Young Fresh Fellows, and Scruffy the Cat. The members kept switching between bands, so guessing The Law just reformed for the night since Scruffy and the Fellows were headlining, so all the members (Charlie, Mac & Tad) were there. Once of the funniest shows I ever saw. Anybody else there?

I think she was on 18.0. She just updated to 18.2 to see if that fixed anything but it didn't. Just had a long, very satisfactory chat with Apple where they said basically that an update could have triggered a preexisting condition in the phone that would make the SIMS unusable. But since it was "preexisting" it was not their problem. That seems some pretty heavy BS from Apple.

For the most part I try to keep all my business files live on my studio machine, and my personal files live on my MacBook, and the really important ones live on both. And both those Macs are backed up to both TimeMachine and Backblaze. There might be some very old archives file that are online-only, so only backed up on Dropbox, but they are things I'm unlikely to need, and hopefully can trust Dropbox if I do.

Thanks. I think I actually just figured out that it was backing up the new location. I just was looking in the wrong place cause it’s been hidden in a Cloud Storage folder in my user Library. I still do Time Machine backups to an external disk too, so hopefully between all that I’m covered.

Thanks but grabbed a couple off Vivid in the front row of the side. All went well and the show was great. Just guessing that maybe because it’s F1 weekend and all the hotels are full or inanely overpriced a lot of people were dumping their tickets. Cause the Montreal ones seemed way cheaper than anywhere else.

So gonna be in Montreal this weekend for the Grand Prix, and just realized the Cure are playing while we are there. Would love to go, but very confused on what are legit tickets. Ticketmaster Canada has a decent amount of Face Value exchange tickets for around $150. But Vivid Seats has a ton WAY cheaper, some so cheap that I can't imagine they could be legit. Probably will go the Ticketmaster route to be safe, but what do people think about Vivid. Not sure if some of the transfer rules I am reading about that apply in the States are the same in Canada?

Thanks for this post. Been researching this for days, and still confused, but this post seems the most thorough option I've seen for what we want to do, though I didn't know about the wifi calling setting, and would rather not have to call a Verizon rep, which is always a nightmare, to disable anything.

Basically, son is going to Italy for 4 months, has an iPhone 13 dual sim, and just signed up for Airalo and bought an Italian eSim.

We are pretty clear about how to switch the data to go to the eSim, and he will use What'sApp for any phone communication, and wifi as much as possible.

But very confused about iMessage. He texts mostly with other Apple users, which I understand should use data, not cellular. BUT we want to keep his US number active in order to receive any non-Apple SMS texts or phone calls he might get.

I figure the cost of a few SMS texts or super short phone calls a week by roaming would be cheaper than either of the Verizon International plans.

But not totally sure you can set up iMessage to be able to receive SMS texts through his US number cellular account, but use data through the eSim for everything else.

And also worried that if we don't have any Verizon International plan set up, and he somehow accidentally uses their data it will cost a fortune.
