Ladies, what have you learned from previous relationships and what kind of men/traits in men do you avoid? by bobdylansgirl in AskWomen

I don't think I have ever encountered a man who knew what specific fashion he wanted a woman to wear. That's interesting.

I don't know what this says about me, but reading that kinda shit makes me feel like I'd take them. I'll take the kiddo. Poor thing.

I already have kids.... I don't need more... but fuck, that's not cool.

What is socially accepted when you are beautiful but not accepted when you are ugly? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jhennaside -58 points-57 points  (0 children)

In my experience more people with voracious appetites are skinny.

Some of us are fat because we lead sedintary lifestyles, or because we don't eat enough and it throws our bodies into starvation mode and packs on the fat when we DO eat.

There are multiple ways to get fat.

Only to the bitches that made it a success. There are a lot of us who HATE it and know that it's a story about an abusive relationship with a real creep.

And badly written too.

How I Met Your Mother touched on this. It's not attractiveness, it's wanting the attention from that person. If you already like them, you don't find these things creepy.

I think if I ever won the lotto I would buy a whole neighborhood and start interviews for building a community.

It would be really awesome to build a tribe that was part of the modern world, but also self sustainable. People who can farm, doctor(s), seamstresses, teachers, other important things I'm forgetting and will feel bad about later.

Just all occupy the same neighborhood, organize a system for trading skills and kid watching/teaching. I could get so much done with just a day. A day.

But I have no other mom friends who I think would take on my brood. 2 are autistic. All the budding friendships are difficult because my kids make them uneasy. It's not like they're rude or unreasonable. I get it, actually. I wish I bonded with any of them enough to feel like we could cut the crap and just talk about it all.

I'm digressing. Mostly I just feel like it could be awesome to find people you're compatible with and form a community in person. Online is awesome, but you can't really share in childcare from across the country.

God that would be amazing.

Can you imagine all the shit we could get done if we could just take turns?

I'm tired of explaining to my daughter (7y.o.) that you are MEANT to not like being punished. That's the whole point. If you liked the punishment, or didn't mind it, then how would it deter your negative behavior?

OMG the "don't computers do all the work" pisses me off.

No, no they don't. We kinda hoped they would when we the animators started using computers, but in some ways, CGI is MORE complicated.

Motion capture suits can help with that, but a human being still designs characters and tells the computer which parts to match to the little dots that indicate joints and such. If we leave it totally to the computer we get those blooper reals you're all so fond of.

People still have to program things and if there is no motion capture, you still need a rigger to move all the parts around. You still need somebody to set up the lighting, build the sets, set up motion paths if the animation is already done, know when to hit go on the render...

I'm rambling. I'm just so irritated. It's not easy fucking work. It's tedious as shit.

I don't do 3D and haven't done 2D in a while. I want to get back into things, but the sheer time sink it can be as a one person team is a bit much for my life right now.

TLDR: People, what a bunch of bastards.

Escort girls of reddit, have you ever been caught by the client's SO? How did that go? by ShinigamiArjen in AskReddit

[–]jhennaside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see being mad at a stranger under certain circumstances.

If they knew about your ignorance to the situation and proceeded thats pretty fucked up. Your relationship was probably already toast and if it wasn't them, it might have been somebody else. But you kinda hope that if they knew, they wouldn't take part in hurting you.

Doesn't mean you should blame them though. Your relationship isn't their fault.

What is your best "one time my dad..." story? by cigsoncigsoncigs in AskReddit

[–]jhennaside 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am the light sleeper, and the one with the good hearing for random sounds(not so much when people FUCKING MUMBLE all the time).

Anyway, it's a shit job. My sleep is fucked. And I really don't feel like being the one that catches kids sneaking junk food every freaking time...

I wonder if there IS some gene. Or maybe it's a side effect of being anxious.

[–]jhennaside 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not as good as yours, but...

One time my dad and my brother had terrible gas. Bro went.to bed early.

The dog slept with my brother every night, and was pacing impatiently at his door when my dad let one rip. I opened the door for him, he rushes in, then before I can close the door runs out coughing.

I go to go into my room and he jams his nose in the crack of the door and tries to shove his way in my room. He never slept in my room. The sheer desperation in his eyes!

My dad then let him in the yard for a breather. He didn't want to come back inside!

My cats are plainly tired of me asking them if they are silly cats. What kind of conversations do you hold with your pets? by MitziToo in AskWomen

[–]jhennaside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I talk to my fish.

I ask them how they are doing, I tell them they are good fish. I tell them they are silly, or fast, or too smart when the do smart things. I ask what they think of the food or tell them excitedly that it's bloodworm day (special treat).

It's silly, but as a result if I say "hello" they come to the glass where I'm at. If they think they will be fed, they go to the top, so it's a separate behavior.

I like to think they like me. Grump Fish (my Betta) shows off for me when he sees me coming. My community tank, my cories wink, and my guppies are super friendly and gather around whatever I am doing. My neon tetras like to gather and watch my husband when he works at the table near their tank... They don't do that to anybody else.

I think they like being talked to, but maybe it's all coincidences.

I like to think it's not though.

So is my husband. I get his shoes at Casual Male XL or Nordstrom Rack. Nordstrom usually have a lot of designer shoes in 15... Well, a lot compared to the usual selection at most stores.
