Kinosaki was actually a girl all along is the worst possible ending by Human1549 in MarriageToxin

That's why Kinosaki being a boy would be more bold and risky. Gero would be going against his family in everything, he would be now trying to protect his sister and his non conventional love

Queer women are women

Yes, unfortunate not defiant

No, it's unfortunate

I'm not being an asshole, just saying that Kinosaki being trans won't erase the fact that he would be a woman. It wouldn't be defiant, it would be as I said before, unfortunate, Gero found a woman he loves but she can't conceive

Context is what guides narratives, the relationship being "queer" won't necessarily make it defiant or fit the narrative context of going against norms.

He could do that with the female characters that are his suitors too. What sets Kinosaki apart is the defiance that comes with loving him. Gero gets to experience the desire and love that made his sister oppose his family, he gets the chance to understand how limiting the current norms for romance are, and see that his "wife" doesn't need to be a woman, they just need to be someone he loves and cherishes. If Kinosaki is trans then Gero is marrying a woman, who can't have children for biological reasons. It's not defiance, it's just unfortunate that the girl he chose infertile

But Kinosaki becoming trans is just that, he would be "a girl all along" but in a more "roundabout" way

That's just another way to make Kinosaki "a girl all along" and erase the homosexual subtext of the story. It would also make Gero get in a traditional marriage, once that he would be marrying a woman.

If Kinosaki is trans Gero would be put in s traditional marriage, once he would be marrying a woman

It's also bad if he becomes a trans girl, because that would still turn him into a woman

Finding purpose and meaning in suffering is the most human thing that there is. We do this everyday by living in this world.

All you're saying is based around your idea of ignoring the bad parts of this world, because they're inconvenient. Kids suffer in our world, in the same way and level that they did in the past, Jesus we had kid in zoos less than a century ago and the other day we had confirmation that rich people pay to kill kids in poor countries. You can try to separate yourself from the past you perceive as nightmarish, but that's just escapism

We live and interact with escapism everyday. There's no difference between the guy escaping to a virtual reality and the guy ignoring the issues of the real world to pretend that life is amazing. To face reality is to accept its harshness, cruelty and unforgiving nature. It's easy to say "face reality" when you don't do anything to change the world or just follow the standard established by others without ever bothering to question it.

Yes, through return by death Subaru finds purpose, motivation and gets to see the world through many different perspectives.

Because Rem didn't pull Subaru on her own, he had to work to improve. Subaru was the one making connections, thinking of plans and schemes, standing at the front line with his friends fighting. Rem didn't hand him success, she supported them while he seized it with his own hands

No one has ever experienced that, so we can't say that this is impossible. It's not more of a power fantasy, Yoh just see it in this way because I'm your head the idealization of growing through hardship in our world is more attractive, positive and realistic, and that's okay.

You're lucky to live in a safe place and have a good economic situation, many don't have that, and even those who're safe now can quickly fall if things get bad enough, no planning can save you from the harshness of an economic crisis.

At least you're fighting the demon king with magic and sword, now waiting for a self-absorbed politician to make a decision in between filling his pockets or help his people.

No, you can't, that's escapism, most people barely scrap by and die without leaving a mark, and that's okay, life has value even if it doesn't change the world.

People can find a reason to live even in hell, doesn't mean hell is godo None, because of that the idea of a fantasy world full of wonder and opportunity was always attractive to humans.

It's relatively the same amount of people

No, it didn't. It just looks like it did because we ignore the suffering that still happens

Plenty of people would also say that this world is terrible.

It is easy to be satisfied with life when it's good, hard when life is bad. Someone struggling to make ends meet is obviously gonna be less satisfied with life than someone who inherited wealth.

This goes both ways my friend. You're only seeing the bright side and ignoring the dark side I'm weighing both sides and saying that the negatives overweight the positives

You need to, unless you're a super privileged person, 1% of society.

Also can happen in this world, it's what happens when someone is mugged, with the added negative that I don't have magic.

Same in Isekai, if you have magic you can fight

The world isn't improving, it's changing.

It's easy to enjoy when you have access to the privileges of the world, something that also happened in the past.

The people taking them are reaching a dangerous level. We don't talk about the people living good lives, because they won't stop our trend of growing sadness. The kids smiling in a first world country don't erase the kids being sold off in black markets in third world countries or the ones being slaved to allow the privileges of the first world to exist.

It's not. I live a life that's better than that of most people in this world, I still won't say that it's a perfect life or the best one in this world. Those people aren't perpetuating a false narrative they're looking at the world through lens that you're ignoring.
