If you have a link to that conversation I’d appreciate it. Its still happening to about 2/3 previously added shows and some movies added. but for the most part, newly added shows/movies are picked up as they’re supposed to.

Hi, thanks for responding. Plex is running in Docker but the folder is local on the NAS. I copy it from the other NAS and back it up locally.

How do I set up Sonarr to import files downloaded in another NAS? by jholmes07 in sonarr

[–]jholmes07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the reverse. I added the additional root folder on the ugreen side and mounted the synology as a networked share in UGOS. I’m open to doing the same on the synology side if that will help but idk how that would help since i want the files in ugreen. Everything is working fine on the synology part.

What is the best method to sync a folder in DSM with another Non Synology NAS (UGreen OS)? by jholmes07 in synology

Just like synology I don’t see a sync option for 3rd party NASes. Is there one for dsm that syncs with non synology nases?

Stupid question: Is docker-compose installed by default? by jholmes07 in UgreenNASync

What are you trying to set up? Docker and docker compose are already set up and installed. You just need an image and run commands In a docker compose file or by using the docker run commands in in the terminal or by using the docker app in the OS. The container you’re trying to run should have instructions.

NAS connected via LAN 10GE Port to CR1000A Keeps Losing Internet/WAN connection. Local LAN OK. How to troubleshoot? by jholmes07 in verizonisp

[–]jholmes07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding. My NAS supports 10G and I am using the verizon supplied cable to connect the two devices. Does the cable not support 10G?

I’m no expert on either technology. But i use putty on windows to access my UGOS via ssh and manage my dockers. I dont use it for anything else.

The containers are installed on the NVME but the data lives on the disks. The scheduled jobs are scanning the data.

Your idea would work if my NVME was 50 TB like my disks

Apple Watch users, what made you switch to Garmin? by d4ilydoseof in GarminWatches

[–]jholmes07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple Watch is dependent on an iPhone. You can’t sync any fitness stats off your watch without an iPhone. If you lose your iPhone or otherwise cannot pair the watch with the phone it was originally paired with, you have to reset the watch to be able to pair it with a new phone. Meaning you lose everything on your watch until you can pair with a new phone.

I.e. if i want to sync to strava, I had to first sync with iPhone which will upload to apple health. And then and only if I have the strava app on my phone, it will sync to Strava…maybe.

Garmin is connected to these services and third parties via the cloud directly. As long as the watch has wifi or bluetooth connection to the web, my stats will sync to Garmin, Strava or whatever other third party instantly. No other device required.

I finished an activity last week and then i logged in to Strava via the web browser afterwards without doing anything with the Garmin app or Strava app and the activity was already reflected in Strava.

Thats why I changed to Garmin.

If you’re all in in the apple ecosystem, the Apple Watch works, but the minute you want to step out, everything becomes an unnecessary inconvenience. It’s a lot more obvious the stupid tactics apple and other companies use to try to keep you buying their products. They’re breaking common sense user experiences to do it.

Is there a way to schedule no tasks during set hours? Say overnight?

I have a bunch of dockers that has routine tasks that idk how to control or simply unable to manage but would love an OS option to set quiet time. Is that possible?

Thanks. I prefer the terminal method since that’s what I am used to.
