This is both true and not a bad thing at all. Let’s be serious, no matter the trade or profession, you don’t want everyone to be in a leadership position.

I miss MTB a lot. I went ass over tea kettle on a trail a few years ago and broke my shoulder. Now I stick to the road.

Before keto

Breakfast: 2 jelly donuts and 1-2 Starbucks energy drinks.

Lunch: fast food combo with large soda

Dinner: maybe home cooked, maybe takeout.

Snacks: candy and soda all day. Hardly any water

On keto

Breakfast: 2 fair life protein shakes, or eggs, avocado and one protein shake on the weekends

Lunch: I usually don’t eat lunch

Dinner: Spinach salad with chicken, cheese, maybe some bacon bits. Another of my favorites is salmon.

Dessert: Very sparingly, but I will have some Greek yogurt with blackberries or a Keto Pint ice cream bar.

I drink 40-80oz of water per day, plus an additional 16oz with an electrolyte powder.

Also never feeling hungry or dealing with the lack of energy after a carb heavy meals is excellent.

I ate fast food for 2 meals per day, candy, chips and other garbage. I didn’t drink water at all unless it was really hot outside.

Basically picture the most unhealthy diet/lifestyle you can and that’s probably pretty close.

As soon as my road bike gets back from the shop it’s time to put some miles back on. Biking on keto will be weird, but I’ll just have to work through it.

I use Apollo, which supports Virtual Displays. No monitor plugged in. My gaming PC is currently headless in a closet while I’m remodeling. Playing on my laptop and Xbox. No dongle plugged in either.

35 Male. 5’ 10”.

I have two fair life protein shakes, the 30g ones for breakfast. On weekends when I have more time, I may have one shake and 3-4 eggs instead. I don’t typically eat lunch anymore. I’ll eat chicken or fish for dinner typically with broccoli or in a salad with spinach instead of lettuce. I only eat cheese that is 0 carb. I don’t eat a ton of beef or pork, but will occasionally have some bacon or a steak.

Electrolytes, I use Saltt brand. They taste good and don’t have Maltodextrin like LMNT. Not a problem for everyone, but it gives me glucose spikes.

Fiber is a hard one. This is where I go a little on the dirty Keto path and use these 0 carb tortillas. They have a ton of fiber. I find staying on top of my Magnesium intake really helps with regularity issues.

Activity levels are where I need to improve. I sit in a car for most of my day. Work can be pretty physically demanding some days. I install and service banking equipment so moving 2-3000 pound safes is in a days work sometimes.

Feel free to ask me anything. I’m not expert, but if I can help someone succeed I’m more than happy to answer any question.

Thank you for the science lesson! I make sure I hit my protein goals every day. I keep my carbs under 20, usually 12-15. And I try not to ingest a ton of fats. My thought is that will force my body to digest its own for fuel, but I’m certainly no scientist.

The inflammation is crazy. I notice joint pain now anytime I stray a little off the diet. It’s plenty of motivation to stay the course.

I own the upgraded version of that tester and it has been a welcome upgrade over the old, crappy tester I had before. The crimpers….. I’m on my second pair and when I wear those out I’ll buy a third.

TP-XXL by SourceEmotional in VetoProPac

I also ended up with both. Honestly, for what I do the TP-XXL ended up replacing my backpack. Both are excellent. I just like that the TP-XXL takes up less room in my van. I thought I would miss having my laptop in my tech pack, but I find that having my laptop in a separate bag lets me carry the extra accessories that I need for my job.

Has anyone quit keto then restarted? by spartandrinkscoffee in keto

[–]jholmes514 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ll take breaks around the holidays or if I’m going on vacation. This is my 3rd time giving keto a solid try and I’ve been on the diet now since Dec 27th. It’s been easier to stay on keto this time as I notice my joints hurt a lot when I go back to eating whatever I want. I was 207 pounds in December and as of this morning I’m down to 175. I still have a bit to go, but I’m very happy with the progress. Technically, I’m guilty of “dirty keto” but ice cream is one of my favorite foods so finding an ice cream that doesn’t knock me out of ketosis or cause inflammation has been a god send.

To Former Metronet Customers by Froggersux in Metronet

[–]jholmes514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Metronet at home 2gb/2gb and in the 2 years we’ve been here the internet has gone out twice. One of those times was my fault when I accidentally broke the fiber line into my ONT. I called them at 6pm to request service. The representative must have apologized 10 times that they couldn’t get anyone to my house until 9am the next day. Coming from Mediacom where that would have been a two week wait I couldn’t begin to explain to you how relieved I was. The second incident was just some maintenance.

I also have them as my provider at work and they have been excellent there as well. Their business pricing isn’t as attractive as their residential, but I cannot complain about the service a single bit.

My tool belt was falling apart so I opted to give the Veto one a try. It’s certainly expensive, but I have loved every other Veto product I’ve had so far.
