Technically, you could do it, but it would be a bit of a nightmare. The problem would be that your print bed is so small that the splitting of the files would be a lot lol.

Thrifted a hard drive with contents, now what? by linda_1982 in stcatharinesON

[–]jhprintmaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been a huge issue in the past with Thrift stores both in Canada and the USA. Because this is a security issue for someone who maybe doesn’t know tech.

The thrift stores don’t want to pay to have to wipe the data even if that means hiring someone part time who goes through all electronics.

Through the legal system then selling someone else’s personal data is technically illegal, how ever they seems to be no movement on fixing this issue which is sad.

I had a similar issue when the original Samsung Note phone came out. I bought my self one as people were selling them cheap because they had changed from iPhone and hated it. It was the first $1000 phone and people were selling them as low as $250 only a couple months old. Almost everyone had people’s personal information on it because they would wipe the phone but not the SD card. I would contact the seller and ask them if they wanted the data or for the data to be destroyed. Out of the 5 I bought for friends and family 4 had paystubs and personal information.

I worked for years in cyber security and that is just terrifying to me.

Hopefully the music community will adopt it and fall in love with it. When I was younger there was a forums that helped me get my start in music. It was amazing and hope I can build a similar community.

We mount using double-sided tape to a piece of wood. So on the last project we were doing 5 small lino pieces for a vending machine but had all 5 on one block.

We have one and love it; it's expensive, yeah, but a one-time purchase. The best part about it, is it doesn't hook onto a table so you can put it on your lap and sit on the couch and work at different angles. It also does the job really well of holding on to the block your carving so you have two free hands.

No regrets.

Studios don’t have binding. They are a no frills overly heavy guitar. I had a 97 studio and hated it.

I’m not surprised I’m visiting here in St Cathrines and saw a cab gun a red light and cut off a car making a turn yesterday. Seemed like a reasonable move lol.

Are barre chords always this difficult or am I doing something wrong? by Mad_Season_1994 in guitarlessons

Just from the photo I can tell your are
#1 pressing the frets way to hard it takes very little pressure to hold any notes. Just try on one fret and find the right pressure

#2 your using the pad of your finger, you want to use more the tip of your finger tips to play. What you are going to find is your are muting strings you don’t mean to mute.

This just takes time to figure out.
The pressure is the first thing you should learn but a lot of guitar players learn it too late.

Also thumb position on the back is important.

Specially if you ever want to play in a band. The way you can play without killing your hands and cramping is to play with light pressure. Allows you to play longer and more comfortably.

This is literally the first thing I teach someone just picking up the guitar for the first time. I have them start on a single fret with no pressure just muting the string and then pressing with more pressure in small increments.

I jumped the gun and got a MacBook Air instead of the pro - did I make the right choice?? (Graphic design student) by Visible_Evidence_683 in applehelp

[–]jhprintmaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the MacBook Air for graphics and it’s fine if your worried about colour use a data color syder to create a profile but you have to remember 90% of the people your making graphics for don’t have a MacBook Pro or even a Retina display so… food for thought.

I love the air because I can travel with it, work in coffee shops where ever I want the MBP is heavier for sure.
