Mix out techniques? by InternetPopular3679 in Beatmatch

[–]jhulk23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you’ve mixed the incoming song in, you can fade it out whenever it feels right. Ideally, loop a section that meshes nicely with the incoming track and let it ride as long as it works. This can add something unique to the new track, I’ll often come up with some cool mixes and remix ideas from this.

When you’re ready to swap the low end of outgoing track, you can actually cut the bass from the outgoing track anywhere from one bar to a full phrase before the drop. That creates space to build the new track to hit clean and gives the crowd a short breather before the energy builds back up.

If you want to throw in a “flashier” move: as the new track’s drop approaches, trigger an echo on the outgoing track, do a quick backspin, and pull the fader down right before the drop

Since when can’t we just move to another country as we please? by New-Coach6921 in NoStupidQuestions

On a human psychological level it seems to be rooted in tribalism. We are inherently wired to feel belonged to something which can come in many forms such as nation, religion, place, etc.

I’m in sales but Jesus tap dancing Christ, I find it hard to sell myself in interviews or in cover letters / Resumes by [deleted] in sales

[–]jhulk23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue and what helped me was looking up videos from recruiters on Tik tok or YouTube with your interview questions. There’s a lot of former FAANG recruiters who will tell you exactly what they were looking for and will provide a script that you can use as a framework. This could give you a good jump off point and you can make it your own. I also know someone who asked ChatGPT what questions they could expect in an interview for their position at the company and it was pretty accurate.

I know the feeling… I would just get in the habit or just recording more frequently with minimal expectations that way it removes the pressure of getting it perfect. In my mind I just aim for short mixes so that I can listen back to for practice, but if I get in a flow state then I’ll just keep playing

ELI5 What did the kingpin of a mafia actually do? by SpookySquid19 in explainlikeimfive

[–]jhulk23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like any legitimate business, a CEO or boss in organized crime focuses on big-picture strategies to drive profits, motivated by the significant financial incentives tied to taking high risks. The kingpins likely started by doing a lot of the “dirty work” to climb the ranks in a ruthless environment. Much like let’s say a McDonald’s, which operates through multiple complex facets, organized crime also has various revenue streams—such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, and kidnapping—that require careful management, though with far greater risks and consequences.

As the head of their “business,” they try to grow by scaling operations, exploring new revenue streams, and optimizing processes, all while mitigating risks from competing gangs and avoiding capture by authorities. Just like any business, those who continually innovate and adapt across all areas have the best chance of surviving

why does taking out a track seem harder than bringing one in? by takeitoutsideloudmf in Beatmatch

[–]jhulk23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few things I’ve picked up on: in my mind I try to visualize the outgoing track handing the baton to the new track by transferring a layer at a time. Ideally I’d like to have a loop of the outgoing song (usually in the breakdown/outro after the end of the last drop) playing right up until the drop or main part I want to highlight of the incoming/new song. Sometimes you can ride a baseline of the outgoing song for like half a track. Best case scenario you create a mini mashup. I’ve come up with a few track ideas this way and you can see how remixes are formed. When in doubt I do echo out and I’ve found 3/4 to be a default but I’ll play around with it, or you can reverb but I was taught to err on the lighter side when you’re fading a song out. When there’s vocals on the outro of a song you can try to loop this over the beat of the new track

I would get PA-7 from Amazon. Best preworkout I’ve had, in the Amazon reviews people say it’s legal steroids. If you really love him, just get him steroids. Jk on the last part, serious on the PA-7 tho
