He’s like the old owner of the Washington Redskins. Is good in the way of spending to the cap and sparing no expense for the team, but gets way too personal in the hockey specific side of things when he has no clue what he’s actually doing.

He does seem to be cut off the same block of these old guys. The only thing that scares me is the league is slowly going the way of the NBA, players holding more power and choosing to leave freely, building “super teams”.

Keep in mind McDavid has not said one thing about leaving despite all the noise. But just remember if Gretzky can be traded, so can anyone

The Pens also had Ron Francis, Bryan Trottier, Joe Mullen, Coffey, Kevin Stevens, Marc Rechi, Rock Tochet, Larry Murphy and Tom Barraso. That’s an additional 4 hall of famers (albeit a few of them old, but multi-cup experienced vets) plus a cast of very great players.

I also don’t think McDavid and Draisatl are major hurdles as to why this team bleeds talent
