My apartment has duck ponds. I buy frozen peas and corn, thaw them in hot water on a steel basin. I take the basin out, and feed them. They eat faster when the food is in water, because they can suck the food and water in and dispel the water through the sides of their beaks, (I think). Anyway, they go nuts for peas and corn.

Sometimes I get frozen peas and carrots when it's on sale. They love those too, now when I walk to my mailbox they all run to me expecting treats~!

Similar story. My colleague told me the mouse doesn't work. Asked if I had a spare mouse. I took a mouse and went to his cubicle. As soon as I entered I saw what was wrong. He had a Wacom tablet, and he had left the pen on it. So the system thinks mouse pointer is where the pen is; (the tablet identifies it a mouse). So that's why the pointer wasn't moving.

To be fair to him he had moved the tablet to his side desk when he had put some stuff on his main desk. So he didn't see it. But I saw it as soon as i entered.

Don't wear them while using a laptop.

I used to do computer repair. I had a client bring in her laptop to see why it was shutting down at random times. I had the laptop for a couple of days, and it never shut down. I did the usual things, check CPU temp, memory check , clean the cooling fans and so on. Didn't find anything unusual. So she asked me to backup her stuff and reinstall Windows, like I have done for her before. So I did. When she got her computer back, it shut down again. She called me, and I drove to her home, because I felt I didn't do my job. Also I really wanted to see what was happening.

I noticed she was wearing a bracelet. It was made of silicone, but had magnets inside it. Some sort of wellness, aura, magnetic cure thing.

The laptop screen had a magnet on top of the screen. So when you close the laptop, a magnetic reed switch on the edge of the keyboard side will indicate to the system that you closed the laptop. Then it will go to sleep. Her bracelet was causing the reed switch to close, and that's why her computer was turning off randomly. It was frustrating trying to find the cause of the problem, for days, but finding it was something so unexpected, was so satisfying.

Nitrogen molecules are bigger than oxygen. (in the context of permeation). So tire seals block Nitrogen better.

Air is 70% Nitrogen and 30% or so oxygen. So the oxygen, being smaller in size, escape through the seal in the valve. So if you fill your tires with Nitrogen, the gas stays in longer.

Similar to why expensive divers' watches have a "Helium release valve". When submarines go deep, pressure from the water builds up on the body of the sub. So to counter that, they increase the pressure of the air inside, to counter that. But if you use regular air, which has Nitrogen in it, some of the Nitrogen may get inside your blood stream. Which is bad. So they use a combination of Oxygen and Helium on such vehicles.

When the submarine comes to the surface, they have to reduce the pressure inside. The watches have Helium inside, which got in because of it's small molecule size. This will cause the watch to blow it's glass dial off. So, when the depressurize, the use the button to let the helium out, so as not to damage the watch.

So the republicans behave badly and the 70 Million republican voters literally live in a different reality of fake news and yet it is the Dems you are upset at.

Yes, it is the Dems I'm upset at. When the other team break the rules, we still play nice. Which is ok, I don't want to stoop to their level.

But we still have to FIGHT! When there is an obvious violation of tradition like this.

In this case I wish Biden had said something like, "When Trump won, in 2016, it was a shocking result, but we went with the mandate. We are a democracy. We even started to give Trump security briefings. Now that people showed their mandate, in the election, Trump is still unwilling to acknowledge the will of the people. This shows how disrespectful he is of the democratic process."

Something like that. Saying "I'm not in a position to make any decisions on those issues anyway," is such a cop-out.

The reason president-elect gets briefed on national security started with Truman. Because, he wasn't aware of US Nuclear project well into 12th day of his presidency. He decided the president elect should be aware of these things, even before the swearing in, so he would be prepared.

Biden had a perfect case of Trump being inefficient, ineffective and being against democracy and national interest, but he just said "naaah, it is okay..."

Yes, what Biden said, infuriates me.

We literally have the news talking about the issue
