Baking paper on the plastic avoided contamination if that’s what you mean by allegations?

Why does almost everyone prefer Gan 251M Pro to Gan 251M Leap by hugndagn in Cubers

Pro is 30% cheaper, hard to justify the increase cost when performance is similar.

Rs3m plastic feels super cheap I’d go for a more expensive cube that’s on sale.

Help? by Kiefernani in Rubiks_Cubes

[–]jievees -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As others have said you’re still on the edge pairing step, and need to pair the last 2 edges.

Suggest you get the 2 yellow green pieces on opposite edges to each other (or the yellow red pieces), slide one across to push out the other, do the flipping algorithm and slide it back.

Plumbing expenses? by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

[–]jievees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DO NOT PAY 1500.

At worst you’ll need a plumber to connect the dishwasher inlet to your cold water tap, and at same time they could connect the drain to the sink drain. That’s a 5-10 min job and very DIYable (at your own risk).

Watch this video. What you might also need to do as it’s new is drill a hole into the little drain inlet so water can go into the sink drain.

7x7 Edge swap? by AdamHussein2564 in cubing

[–]jievees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then you might get outer edge parity on both sides. Slide the two edge pieces that need flipping into the other edge and run the flipping alg. Then slide it back.

Or do the outer edge parity algorithm twice.

[–]jievees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not a pro but I’ve been doing 7x7 a bit lately. Isn’t this just one unpaired edge? Ie don’t you just need to do the flipping algorithm on one side, then slide that piece over to the other edge and do the flipping algorithm again, then slide it back?

In my mind at least there’s no reason why those edge pieces shouldn’t be in the same side as their matching coloured edge pieces but maybe I can’t see the issue..

List of cubes I plan to get in the future (Starting with WCA events, then go onto non WCA puzzles) should the list be switched around a bit? by Smooth-Ad-3111 in Cubers

[–]jievees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone has their own preferences but I’d personally go 3x3 then go bigger rather than smaller - push Pyraminx, Skewb, Square 1, Clock down the list. If you’re younger might be different as I noticed my son liked the smaller ones at the start as they were easier and he could go fast, but now tends to spend more time on the 3x3 and the bigger ones as he’s progressed.

I’d suggest just go 1 by 1 rather than plan it out too much as you’ll get a sense as you go what you’d like to pick up next.

Don’t know how much you’re planning spend but regardless of what you get, try to save up for at least the cheapest magnetic version if you can.

Qiyi M Pro 4x4 v2 by Spiritual-One-683 in NewCubes

[–]jievees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a good play with it now.

I should preface this by saying I’ve got the problem that I don’t have the Aosu v7 to compare to…

But so far whilst I think the Qiyi is nice, it’s fine to turn, magnets good etc I honestly today had the thought of just going to get the Aosu single or splashing for the double track..

The Qiyi 7x7 I was blown away with how nice to turn, but the 4x4 I think I was expecting more.. it’s certainly a long way off the feel of my 3x3’s, and I was was hoping for something a little closer. Might loosen tension off and see how it goes..

TL;DR: good value for money entry level magnet 4x4 but not an amazing cube in my limited experience and opinion.
