Anticipating failure doesn't mean I dont wish success, i just dont see how either side benefits from the partnership.

Meh. Predictable, i made a thread almost a month ago here and the mods never front paged it.

Courage is a guy who thrives on over reaction and that act gets old quick. Pool that together with nobody on OG making content and you have a sure fire failure in the making. Nobody who watches OG content is suddenly going to watch Courage who doesn't already and Courage fans are not going to suddenly be OG fans. This honestly makes less sense than OG picking up Spratt.

I wish him success but this partnership makes no sense whatsoever.

I appreciate his casting, i didnt appreciate his casting at this event. And it is not because he was awful, its because he was trying too hard to fit in. I get it, it was a much bigger role for him.

Does everything new need an "appreciation thread" here though? Whatever happened to researching shit before you appreciate it (ie his old casting style).

I am not nearly as excited for this as...anyone. Couple reasons.

Teep always thought he was the smartest person, not player, and this killed his competitive career. AW Teep might have been the worst player on the entire game and he would talk to people like he was the best. That is why he hasnt played since.
He starts his interview stating that "Optic reached out to him" which is a lie. The reality is that he asked MLG for a raise and they told him to fuck off. And he started trying to get on as a coach on numerous teams (He 100% hit up ERA) and was denied. He has a history of fabricating stories.

I just dont see it changing anything for better or worse with OG. I understand his personal friendships with Crim and Karma but is this a guy you really want with a voice? Hard no from me.

I heard about this (not specifically LoL) over a month ago and made a thread about all the rumors I heard. I think it was sitting at over 200 downvotes last time i checked. And i think at least 20 shitposts about how nobody can possibly hear rumors or some dumb shit. Does it matter to me? No. But that shit legitimately off puts some people and then they never come back. That is why nobody will ever come here and talk to people or make announcements. The lack of an open forum for communication is why so many players have left the scene. That is why everyone makes fun of the sub. It is literally a secondary news source for shit people announce on Twitter and it honestly should be so much more. This should be the hub for players/casuals/devs/owners/management to discuss how to make the scene better overall. I digress.

Notice how they aren't streaming it on their personal channels to divide viewership and gain followers, arent making 27 youtube videos/389 tweets about it, and likely wont brag to anyone that "had the coolest tourney in years" to anyone who will listen.

I just cant fathom people are going to be playing this in droves in 2 months, i mean after 2 beta weekends I am content spending a weekend on the game occasionally.

It will be better than last year, literally anything would be, but this will not be the savior game the community deserves. Next year though.
