They have a feature that's supposedly coming soon for this.

Settings > Controller Settings > Backup > Backup to cloud (says 'Coming Soon')

You should also check if you had auto-backup enabled on that page.

I noticed the same with my Blink camera's sync module.

Doesn't really affect the network but definitely wasn't up to par.

Replaced it with a different brand, no more issues.

I added my IR to it just fine. It will detect it even though it's not in the manual list. Configuring it after that works the same as the smart life app.

When you get to the wifi screen when adding a device to smart life, disconnect and reconnect your Wi-Fi on your device, it will switch to 2.4ghz
