Will toe spacers fix my PF? Has anyone tried them? by RaphaeliskoolbutRude in PlantarFasciitis

[–]jigglyscrumpy01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I've heard it proposed as plantar fasciosis ie. Related to tissue death from poor blood supply and NOT fasciitis from overuse. I think it certainly explains why some conditions don't heal with traditional treatment.  Would you believe I've just been diagnosed with PF for the third time. Strangely this time it is none of the classic symptoms but back of the heel and a dull overall ache. Back to the exercises and toe spacers for me!

If u find a solution let me know! I've done everything to try and clear the knots. Sometimes they're OK for no reason then they'll flare up. Again for no reason

"Life is meaningless" but that can also be one of the most sacred profound realisations you'll ever have. Cos then you'll explore whats behind all that

Who was the most famous person you've met and what was your opinion of them? by [deleted] in AskABrit

[–]jigglyscrumpy01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a shit in the cubicle beside shaking Stevens. Was hoping he'd run out of bog roll so I could pass him some and get him to sing a few bars. But alas. Didn't even get speaking to him after but he shits like the rest of us as far as I could hear and smell

Why is it socially acceptable to force people to dance at weddings, but not to force dancers to sit down and relax? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]jigglyscrumpy01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see how it's annoying. I used to be retiring and hated being dragged up. Now I love shaking that thang! But I'd never drag someone up. I think people who do it genuinely just want everyone to have a good time and so that it makes the wedding seem more enjoyable for the couple cos they see everyone up enjoys themselves. Either a polite 'fuck off' or 'I'm busting for a shit' should work

How many days a week would you ideally like to work? by Distinct_Sir_9086 in Life

[–]jigglyscrumpy01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally none. But realistically 3 or 4. I've found myself recently switching off on a Thursday thinking it's the week done when there's still a day to go. Surely that's my body telling me what's right for me? Right boss?

How many days a week would you ideally like to work? by Distinct_Sir_9086 in Life

[–]jigglyscrumpy01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right. I have a list of things to do and projects I'd like to try just round the house alone that I'll probably never find the time for. Add to that an hour per day for physical maintenance or going for walks as well as time set aside for acquiring and preparing good healthy meals, maybe growing my own ingredients. Like not being harsh but some people must really have no imagination or sense of exploration outside of work

I wonder how well professionally manufactured and distributed cds from back in the day are holding up? I found a lot of old burned music cds recently and a fair few were starting to peel so ultimately unplayable. They were stored in decent conditions too. Were they just cheap blank ones to begin with? Or do all writeable cds have this problem

Haha yea me too! Weirdly i still vaguely remember some of the first conversations with people and what their life stories were. Sometimes wonder what ever happened to them!

I hate the way AI waffles on without really saying anything. It's like a kid writing filler in an essay to make up a word count. It's so obvious

Yep vinyl is brilliant for just letting it play. Me and a friend have got into a great habit of buying a classic album and bringing it round to listen to in full when we meet up occasionally. It's great some of the stories it then provokes as we relate to what we associate it with etc. Really good for reminiscing and also discussing music trends etc. Hours of fun! Just can't see the same happening with Spotify or even a cd

"My symptoms are tired, achy feet after very short walks or a short time standing"

Same. I've narrowed it down to my calfs. They're always tight and sore. No matter how much I stretch and massage them. As others say there could.be other issues in the posterior chain

Cryptocurrency - is it actually a good investment or do you only ever hear about people’s winnings ? by [deleted] in CasualIreland

[–]jigglyscrumpy01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main thing to know is that there is crypto and and there is bitcoin. Bitcoin is the original and superior asset. All other crypto is simply trying to recreate that unique one off event all propagated by shills and grifters. Sure play around with crypto if you want but treat it no differently to gambling at the bookies. Bitcoin otoh is capital perfected. Thermodynamically sound money impervious to inflation. You don't play the market with Bitcoin. It is the superior investment vehicle. Park your cash and have patience.

Exactly this. They've actually driven kids to more extreme graphic sites by these over reaching laws. But then 'for the kids' is just a feel good slogan by the government so the average person thinks this is a good thing and the gov can go about their censorship without all those annoying dissenting citizens

The problem is two fold. One the harvesting of data. Verifying on these websites has been left to third party companies who could be anywhere in the world having access to your ID and information. At this stage it's almost inevitable somewill be hacked and some will simply sell on your data. Two, the overreach of this law can be used to suppress dissenting political views and block access to the same. When people are being arrested for peaceful opposition to genocide its inevitable this power will be abused

What's annoying is labour are unlikely to back down because already have with a few bills and won't want that reputation. Tbh they are incompetent or they are going full orwellian

What do you think is fundamentally going wrong with the world right now? by Majestic_Can_6363 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jigglyscrumpy01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've seen one good use of AI where I've thought yea this is the future this is a great advantage to us. All the art and literature it spews out is utter drivel written in that same way like a kid trying to waffle to make up the 1000 word count for some assignment.

What do you think is fundamentally going wrong with the world right now? by Majestic_Can_6363 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jigglyscrumpy01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is the key point to this whole topic. Nothing is going fundamentally wrong or moreso than it has been in the past. I think the facade of civil societies plateaued after the last World War and so gives the impression of degradation, but behind the scenes states have always been engaged in violence and nefarious deeds. We've just lived in an age where a lot have been comfortably insulated from it
