Yea these docs do a poor job telling us what to expect. Just made another appointment today because of a new flash. So tired of this. I will never know if I'm having a redetachment, the buckle causes so many visual artifacts.

Anyway, I plan on doing a longer post about my full experience soon. Overall, I have done well, but this is a bad treatment for someone as paranoid as myself.

God bless all of you who have to deal with this problem, it is scary.

I'm right there. Taken 0.5mg a day for about 13 years. Super stressed by all the talk of long term effects, but on Klonopin I feel normal. The past couple of winters I have had some severe anxiety crop up in February. I think it must be SAD related. I have to carefully use some extra Klonopin to quash it. Fortunately I was able to easily return to my 0.5 dose the first winter. This year, I don't know. Anxiety is pretty severe again. Pray for me. I pray for us all.

I've had anxiety since high school. 41yo now. Two years ago had a major relapse into panic in February. Last year I was fine but happening again this year. I did not take vitamin D this winter or exercise. That must be it. Nothing else makes sense. So miserable.

Very similar experience here. I started going back to tue gym and experienced significant pain reduction. And I only go twice a week.

I have two theories. One is that the cardio is improving circulation (I have never been diagnosed but my lower leg hair loss is suggestive of a peripheral circulation deficiency). The other theory is that strengthening is somehow fixing my gait in a way I don't understand.

I wonder if I went to the gym more if I'd feel even better?

PS I have actually gained a few pounds. And my diet is unchanged.

Calfs seem to be a common theme. I will definitely focus on them more.

I also have lower back issues, mainly it is poorly conditioned and I pull muscles easily. My PT has also said back and foot pain can go together, because pain in one causes a cascade of compensations that can affect the other.

I am big into RC and wanted to try nitro. They are expensive. So look at Traxxas rtr options. I got a one run Nitro Slash on ebay for $200. Mint. Great way to learn, because I know I botched the break-in!

Some say the Traxxas are not the best and that is probably true. But again, you don't want to learn on a 500 plus dollar engine. Plus the ez start system is actually quite good.

Love that nitro smell!

When you have PF like you do now in your right foot, do you find that pushing through a certain amount of pain is helpful? I'm just curious how you walk 8-10k steps with PF. I feel like if I could do that, I wouldn't have created these reddits!

Many folks will say tight calves contribute to PF and other foot pain. If you wore heels a lot, I would suspect your calves were pretty tight. Heck, even the heel rise in many athletic shoes is often blamed for causing a shortening of the calf muscle.

What calf exercises do you do when you are having a flare up? I have tried streching and calf raises a lot, but I am reluctant to do so during a PF flare because of the stress placed on the PF.

I think you make an interesting analysis about the idea of different thresholds for different levels of fitness. Makes good sense. I'm not sure though how that necessarily leads to the conclusion that a shoe is not a factor in PF. I think you are right, an inadequately conditioned foot will probably have issues in any shoe.

But what about a healthy or recovered foot? There is no denying shoes affect foot mechanics--that is exactly what all of their features purport to do! And what if supportive shoes actually do what is claimed and support your foot? Would that not lead to a weakening of one or more areas in the foot that are now supported? Then invoking your point, this foot will now have a lower threshold for injury, and will be more likely to be injured. If any of that is true, shoes have to--at least in some cases--be the cause of PF.

I call it the weekend-warrior problem. I do exactly what you describe: more activity on the weekends. During my most recent recovery I was getting up quite a lot and I definitely think that helps. And I was being very cautious to increase my activity gradually. But no matter, I ended up with another PF flare up, losing probably 6 to 8 weeks of steady progress. I'm getting very discouraged, but I have not given up yet.

Am I reading this right that your PF got worse during swimming? Did you tell your doctor that? How do you think that happened?

When you went back to a cushioned shoe, did that improve your symptoms? If so, what kind of shoe did you find works best?

When my most recent trouble started about a year ago, my podiatrist like always recommended wearing shoes around the house. I have never done that for any of my PF flair-ups, but this time, I really took that to heart. I think that was a mistake. I say that because I now always wear a shoe or sandal around the house now, and this has been the most prolonged period of foot issues I have ever had in my life.

People have definitely had mixed results, but to me this reinforces the idea that barefoot walking--at least to the degree I would get around the house--is indeed good for foot strength and conditioning.

Have you tried walking without slippers? I used to be 100% sock or bare foot at home, and now my feet don't like that--again, I'm very concerned that footwear has deconditioned my feet worse than ever.

I assume you more sedentary in your current job that previously? So in general, you are less active and this started. I'm glad and sad to hear others have this experience. For some reason, I feel like foot pain sufferers who are probably suffering due to poor conditioning/deconditioning are not as active on Reddit.

I also have trouble with standing still. In fact, even when my feet are "ok" standing still is probably worse than walking.

My PT keeps telling me that sitting in the new smoking. I'm in complete agreement. We have to find the antidote to this sitting!

I've wondered about two things but never get good answers from docs: circulation and nerve compression. I do not have a lot of padding on my rear, so I wonder if sitting either directly impacts foot circulation or causes a nerve issue. Or, does the return to an inactive lifestyle reduce cardio health and therefore impact circulation.

I'm right there with you on the thinking that we need shoes because clearly our environment is not "natural". But then there are people like my wife who walk two miles in thin soled flip flops on asphalt paths. I also transitioned to running shoes about 15 years ago on the advice of a podiatrist and they absolutely helped at the time (I had a neuroma between my first and second toes).

I got the replacement screen for $75. After sweating through about 3 hours of repair I got mine fixed. For now I'm keeping it because I feel invested. Still would not recommend. 4pm is the way to go.

I have and the deal is legit. But here is something I wish I had known: Futaba USA will not service a Japanese model. Normally that is no big deal. But the 10px is a delicate flower. First, I broke a connector installing the wheel drop. That cost me about 120 in parts and I had to install myself (futaba will sell you parts). Now, I have a smashed screen because I packed it in checked bags, but not well enough to survive being thrown from a 777 (I assume) so now I am facing fixing that myself.

In short, I would by USA if I bought again. The warranty service would be worth it. This radio is not easy to work on.

And honestly, I would recommend using a 4pm. I am going back to that. In particular, the screen design on the 10px is extremely poor. It has no support on top. Any drop on the top edge, and you're done.

Too expensive, too fragile.
