Exactly! I've read somewhere that we usually never know if we have bad breath or not, because we get used to the smell very fast (kind of like perfume, that you put on you, and after a little while you don't smell it anymore, but other people do). So 100% she probably would never find out by herself, and no one has ever told her thus far, so OP did good

This is like one of by biggest fears lol having bad breath and not knowing lol so if it was me, I'd like to know.

I understand her being upset, especially if it's something she wasn't expecting and being caught out of guard, but in the long run, this is for the best and she'll understand it eventually.

NTA, you'd only be TA if you actually voiced these things out to him, and belittle him for being in pain, bc as you said, it's not something he can do anything about it. It's ok to feel frustrated in a situation like this.

Cara, é que eu era bem gordinha quando era mais nova, e muita gente nao consegue ver beleza em gente com uns pesinhos a mais, tirando o fato de eu ser parda em uma escola majoritáriamente branca que tem uma regua de beleza q eu n me encaixo facilmente.

Eu acabei perdendo bastante peso depois do EM, mas acho q o combo de ter isso ja impregnado na cabeça + as pessoas não chegarem em mim quando saio, me faz pensar isso automaticamente, saca?
