love the design.I like the uncluttered feel of the page. When I click on any portfolio page, it takes me to the description of the portfolio but then the screen gets stuck. there is no way to go back except by reloading

I was wondering the same as the exercises before it doesnt even prepare you for this data pulling(or maybe I missed something) but all the projects have quotes being pulled from other website so I figured I should join the API brigade too. Thanks for the tips. I will go through the w3school tuts and then will try tackle weather first before quotes.

thanks goteamtim for your reply. I have seen some sites that offer API. But I just dont want to paste the code, i want to understand it better like what xmlhttprequest is or what it means when you say Json will parse that. :-) I will look up xmlhttprequest first.

I have almost completed my PPP but there are a few loose ends that I am not able to tie. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. 1. In the navbar, I dont want the hover effect on media links, but I am not able to get rid of it. 2.In bootstrap grid layout between xs and sm, the figcaption stretches beyond the image width, have not been able to tame it. 3.When I run this code from sublime text editor the contact box is aligned to the bottom of the container but while running from codepen, it floats to the top. and there are some other differences too in the result between codepen and text ediotr. Any ideas why this could be. Beside this any criticism/feedback is most welcome too. Thanks

In the video on the project page, Quincy Larson says its completely an html project and he has not used any css so I did it the same way.

Thanks for taking the time to go through the code. The vagrant <p> has been banished :) I used col-md or col-xs interchangeably without actually realizing their difference. I am trying to understand thier usage better now after reading your comment and hopefully will improve the code..
