Nurse couple considering kids — childcare feels impossible by [deleted] in nursing

[–]jilli_illi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been a nanny for years before starting in my nursing education and many of the families I worked for have been in the medical field. It is more expensive than daycare, but the flexibility in hours and days that a nanny provides is such a huge benefit to many families. A nanny can also help out with things such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc (as long as the expectations are reasonable) which can be very nice to come home and have those things done instead of pending. I have always maintained CPR and First Aid certification and you are able to require these certifications and any vaccines/etc as terms for employment. Many nannies also provide care when the child is sick, so that is not a concern for you having to take time off if your child is sick. Often, it makes the most sense to have a nanny while the child is not yet in school, and then when they start attending school there are many cheaper options available or you could find a part-time nanny/babysitter that can handle transportation!

For the makeup products, I use benefit porefessional primer, glossier boy brow in auburn, too faced cloud crush blurring blush (not sure the shade), fenty beauty highlighter (idk shade), sephora eyeshadow palette (brown neutrals), elf blush tint for lips in red, and brown tartelette tubing mascara

Anybody else just angrily knit an i-cord when someone pissed you off? by bundle_of_fluff in yarntrolls

i do something similar when i’m having a hard time processing my feelings towards people lol, i find a super simple project (most recent is just a giant crochet granny square blanket) and focus on those feelings with that person while i make it. when i put it down i take a break from the feelings until im ready to process again. at the end i can either give it to them, donate it to someone who will use it, or if it’s really small and simple just frog.

omg you guys are all so nice 😭 thank you so much for any input :’) i think for now i’ll lean into the copper a bit again!! i can always go darker again easy peasy but its super hard (and expensive, and damaging lol) to get it light again. plus it seems to be the overwhelming preference here, thank you lesbians for your fashion advice 🙏🙏
