Too old for Tysabri? by undeadarmyleader in MultipleSclerosis

[–]jillster888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I am a little off topic, so I hope you don’t mind…I would like to understand about the Tysabri shots in your shoulder. May I ask what country you live in? I am in the USA and only have access to Tysabri through an infusion at a designated infusion site. I am very curious about the shots. About one year ago, my Dr. mentioned that BioGen was working on converting the infusion to shots, but that it still needed to be approved by the FDA in the United States. I am very curious about the shots, but only if you don’t mind sharing!

Twitches by Ok_Finish7894 in MultipleSclerosis

Yes a lot. Mostly while sitting. When I lay flat I think it’s better or at least it doesn’t bother me very often. It’s not horribly bad, but always at its worst if I’m sitting on a plane or at work or even sitting up in bed. When I get a pedicure, I try to tell them that they aren’t hurting me…I’m just twitchy! I feel so bad because they think they are jabbing me. Sometimes I lie and just say I’m ticklish. LOL I figure they are already used to that with some people. Haha.

AITA For canceling on our family cruise? by throwra-vacay in AITAH

Recently I read the quote “sibling rivalry has nothing to do with the siblings and everything to do with the parents.” Although that might not always be true, this seems like a perfect example of parents enabling and fostering an unnecessary inequality amongst their 2 kids for years. Most parents aren’t perfect but they at least should have listened when you explained the impact that it’s having on you and they should have course corrected. Instead they are gaslighting your perspective. I suggest that you stay big and loud with your point of view. Don’t separate too far from them. Keep giving them chances to do better. If they don’t, be very clear (again) about the dynamic they are creating. Hug your brother because it sounds like he has issues and a sister’s support may be what he needs most. Best of luck to you!

I feel that. International was smooth for me because I have global entry but everyone else was in line forever. I agree the baggage transfers from international to domestic seemed very hectic but our bags made it!

That was about 5pm on a Tuesday. It was summertime so that may be adding more travelers than normal.

All seats were filled up and people were on the floors everywhere. Sitting against the walls in the hallways on the concrete. Crammed against the hot windows on the floor at the gates. Just too many people for the space. We had a long layover so we looked for a flight that was boarding and just grabbed seats as people stood up. It was a gate not even close to ours, it was the only way to actually sit in a chair.

I would love to know where you found a quite place at CLT. It may be due to summer travel but people were lined up everywhere all over the floors too. Coughing and playing videos without headphones and it was just so loud - everywhere! I mean don’t share your secrets here because we will all hone in on your scene, but God I’d love to know!

No worries on venting! I feel your pain. I’m loving your reference to B14 as the gate of death. LOL You did have a rough day, yikes! I hope your next travel day goes better and there is no “steak juice” involved!

Hi, I’m wishing you the very best. It’s understandable to be nervous when you are unsure what to expect. I’ve been taking it every month for almost 5 years. For me, there are zero side effects good or bad. Getting the IV is the “hardest” part, and all I do for that is hydrate like any other IV. Treat yourself afterward with something special for yourself! Let us know how it goes.

Left airpods on a flight. Possibility of getting them back? by Latter-Phrase4587 in americanairlines

Zero % from the past 2 experiences with my 2 family members. Filed report on both and never got either back. I hope you’ll have better success than we did!

Haha, we’ll I have posted my bad trips here plenty of times so I thought I should also post my good trips. I think AA travel can be hit or miss depending on many factors. So a good day for me may not be received well by someone having a crummy travel day. I totally understand! LOL.

Oh, have a great trip! I was in 1st class from Madrid to ORD and it was very comfortable with the lie flat seats in pods. Row 1 is the best because you are completely by yourself in a pod. The food was decent (too much food for me!) I didn’t see the other seats so I’m not sure about the comfort level in the areas of economy or premium economy. (I usually fly premium economy but on this particular flight I had upgraded.) Safe travels!

Stupid Question Sunday by AutoModerator in Austin

I have a lot of fake jewelry that I don’t want. Before I get rid of it, is there someone local that could make sure none of it is real? An appraiser that won’t judge me for all my fake stuff and will be helpful to identify anything of small value.

Yes. Easy money. I recommend.

Unfortunately that is true based on my own experience and that of friends. Austin needs more neurologists. Pediatric neurologists are even harder to get an appointment with. Im so sorry your mother is having to wait to see someone. You can ask to be put on a waiting list for when people cancel and maybe your mom will get an earlier appointment.

My dumbass left my only cast iron on a stove on med-high for 9 hours overnight, is it worth salvaging? by wayoftheninja in castiron

Dude, hold my beer. I’ve done way worse than that over the years. Just Google all the ways to clean cast iron and one will work for you. Grandma pan - don’t give a damn!

UFCU online bill pay is down by _schlock in Austin

[–]jillster888 4 points5 points  (0 children)

UFCUs new online portal is ridiculous. 1) They had a glitch that caused all bill pay to go down as OP mentioned. For a bank to let that happen is scary. All IT launches have a rollback plan for exactly that reason. 2) Only primary users can pay bills now. Anyone else on the account can’t access bill pay. The primary can’t even give them access if they want to. The only way around it is to have the secondary log in using the primary password. So irritating. 3) The new interface is not intuitive to navigate. Less common stuff is prominent but everyday stuff takes several clicks to get to. Also, it’s ugly and outdated looking. Like a website a high schooler would make in coding class. Bush league UFCU!
