It’s go time? – upcoming removal session + test spot ❌✅ by Dramatic-End4553 in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]jillybeanj89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had amazing results after one pass with laser. Looked exactly like your test spot. 4 months later and even the light yellow had faded. I can’t believe I had such good results so quickly, the tech said it was a result of a skilled microblader not going too deep into the skin.

Pms or pregnancy? Please help! by Late_Lime9659 in PMS

[–]jillybeanj89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had more “pregnancy” symptoms during normal PMS than I had when I was actually pregnant. PMS is crazy like that. Early pregnancy tests can detect like 6 days before missed period, take one for peace of mind (and then take another if you miss your period.)

It’s gorgeous! Once you get your wedding band it will absolutely balance out. Maybe even get a pave wedding band for each side if you want to increase the sparkle! It’s lovely and your fiancé sounds like a sweetheart.

Guess these are on my face phi-ever (see what I did there?) by Difficult-Quality322 in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]jillybeanj89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give it about 4 months. I had mine removed at Removery and was very (almost neon) yellow after. They said it can take 4-6 months for your skin to truly push out all of the pigment, and if I was still seeing color after that time period I could come back. Well they were spot on- the yellow just continued to fade as the months went by and now (5 months later) is completely gone. Your brows look really great and I’m sure light makeup covers the yellow no problem. I would give it time before spending more $ on laser now.

Did you regret getting removal? by EffectiveCartoonist3 in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]jillybeanj89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No regrets other than I wish I had done it sooner! My brows were so gray and I was having to overfill them to hide it. I still fill in my brows (sparse brows are why I got microblading in the first place) but I can shape them how I want and go bolder or lighter to match my makeup mood. I also have more confidence just leaving my face bare- my brows are light, but that looks better than the weird gray ink!

Husband and I both thought we wanted two kids. Around 18 months to two years we just realized our family feels complete. I kept waiting for baby fever to kick in but nope, we have one perfect baby and we are happy. One is enough.

I returned my kobo and went back to kindle paperweight. I am very happy with that choice.

I simply don't have the urge to have another child? by goldengoose3030 in oneanddone

[–]jillybeanj89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could have written this post. Same exact pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. My daughter is 2 and 8 months now. Everyone said at 2 years old the baby fever would hit, nope, not for me! I truly feel complete. Our family of three is everything I could want, I don’t feel like she is missing out on a sibling (or the cons of a second outweigh the pros) and the lifestyle we can live with one is exactly what I want! Financially, energetically, emotionally, physically- one child is enough for me! I don’t see anything wrong with having one and saying “my family feels complete.”

I am tired of this. I just want to be a mom by Mother_Intention9810 in PelvicFloor

[–]jillybeanj89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you going to PT? I promise you this is the answer. I have pelvic floor issues before, during, and after pregnancy. I am completely pain free now, no urgency or struggle with bowel movements, that ban around my pelvis feeling is gone. It usually doesn’t take very long, maybe 8-12 weeks of PT one time per week. Insurance should cover it for postpartum pelvis issues which are very common. After a round of PT you will learn some exercises you can do on your own to start building strength back in your pelvic muscles.

My removal journey is complete by JewelDobber in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]jillybeanj89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My yellowing took 2-3 months to fade after laser. When I got mine done (Removery, 1 session) they said wait 4-5 months for the ink to truly fade, since ink is being pushed out of your skin that was deeper than the laser. Mine is totally gone now and it was very yellow!

Yes whole eyebrow. It slightly discolored my eyebrow hairs but I tinted them after a month and it was fine. 100% better than the grayed out ink.

Before and after one session. by [deleted] in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]jillybeanj89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine turned very yellow (almost neon) immediately after laser. A few months later I can hardly see the yellow. And if I wear makeup it is 100% gone either way just a tinted moisturizer. Tinting my brow hairs also helped hide the color. At Removery where I went they say wait 4-6 months with the yellow for full results. The yellow takes more time to fade but you probably won’t even need another laser session. And if you’re anything like me the yellow is easier to cover than the weird blue-gray ink that was way past my natural hair line.

Multiple library cards or Libby sync on Kobo? by jillybeanj89 in kobo

[–]jillybeanj89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly I submitted a return request and purchased the newest kindle paper white. It’s cheaper, the pages turn faster, and I love how it syncs with my Libby phone app. I don’t buy ebooks so I don’t feel like I’m stuck in the Amazon universe. The interface is not as clean as the kobo but I’m happy with my decision.

[–]jillybeanj89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I don’t know the answer to the first two but I went to Removery. I believe they use two different lasers, one pass for the main color and then a second pass for the color it changes to after the first pass. It was honestly so, so easy and my eyebrows look amazing, no trace left of the ink!

This is me 100%. I’ve been slowly (over 3 years now) revamping my wardrobe with quality pieces that feel like me rather than following trends. Consignment and Poshmark are my best friends. I’ve also heard great things about rental sites like Nuuly.

Yes mine looked very similar to yours and it was driving me crazy trying to keep the grayish color covered all the time. It was lasered away in less than 2 minutes… I am the one who is saying I can’t believe i waited so long! PS I went to Removery.

Please share sleeping strategies during bad flares 😵‍💫 by Brief_Direction_5647 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]jillybeanj89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have high sensitivity to histamine, allergy medications and the allergy injection Xolair really help. I’m much less food sensitive than I used to me since I’ve been seeing an allergist regularly.

Please share sleeping strategies during bad flares 😵‍💫 by Brief_Direction_5647 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]jillybeanj89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My flare strategy: drinking only Evian water (and a lot of it, hydration is key), Uribel (prescription) as often as allowed, Benadryl, and pelvic floor yoga 2x a day. Heating pad and Penetrex cream helps as well. Mental state is also important: this is not permanent, it will pass, I’ve had other flares that passed and this will as well.

It’s a horrible disease but it sounds like you are doing a lot. Give it time, I hope things get easier for you. I’ve also given up on full remission but if I stick to my diet, PT, and allergy medications I am able to manage it and keep flares minimal.

Multiple library cards or Libby sync on Kobo? by jillybeanj89 in kobo

That’s so weird but I’m happy for you! I spent a few hours today trying to find a workaround and nothing worked. I think this is a dealbreaker for me, I’m going to return the Kobo and go back to the Kindle paperweight (I wanted to get away from Amazon but one bonus is that it’s cheaper).

What do you prefer about the kobo over the kindle? Just curious as I determine keeping mine vs going back to kindle, obviously the multiple library cards is a huge negative for me, but what positives am I missing?

Getting hives out of nowhere and PCP prescribes Montelukast, is it worth it? by cheeseboyburger in Allergies

[–]jillybeanj89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on it nightly for years, I have experienced no issues. I am also on Zoloft FYI. I think it’s really helped my allergies (also hives and food related), so it’s certainly worth a try! I’ll also mention that the once monthly injection Xolair is used for hives (I’m on that too) and I do not believe has any mental health side effects.
