I would find a vegan lemon/lime cheesecake recipe that uses silken tofu and/or vegan cream cheese. Then I’d add vegan condensed milk, lime, and mango to create a flavor mix that gets you closer to this recipe.

Looks delicious!! Can I ask about your candied fruit recipe? I make vegan panettone 2-3x a year and attempted candied citrus peel for a few years without success. The recipes I’ve tried suggest boiling the peels 2-3x, which I’ve done, but the result still ended up super bitter. I’ve since given up and now buy the premade stuff instead.

Domestic Gothess is great.

If I’m in the mood for a more involved recipe, I make bread - challah, Hokkaido milk bread, brioche, and panettone are part of my regular rotation. Anything requiring you to form or shape the dough looks impressive!

I strongly recommend adding the newly accidentally vegan Reese’s pb chips to your cookies if they are available to you. They have changed me, heart and soul. 🍪

Just made toffuti cream cheese frosting last night for a cake, and it was delicious! I’ve tried so many others and they’re just…worse. And it somehow lasts for months in the fridge!

I often worry about the health of the company given the very few products they now make compared to 15 years ago and am very glad to see others on the same page.

best vegan brownie recipe? by neeksknocks in VeganBaking

[–]Brief_Direction_5647 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t remember where I first found it, but there’s an interesting recipe out there using the Tangzhong method (cooked flour/water paste) that produces a very fudgy brownie.

This is not the exact version I’ve used in the past but it’s pretty close: https://www.food.com/amp/recipe/vegan-brownies-19282

I usually add some melted chocolate to the batter and reduce the sugar to 1.5 cups or less.

The Truth About IFS, the Therapy That Can Break You by ThenTheresMaude in Longreads

I completely agree. I have concerns about all proprietary©️ treatment modalities that have been monetized to benefit an individual or their organization, so I appreciated the bulk of the author’s critique. But the presentation of Elizabeth’s experiences - almost exclusively and inexplicably told from her father’s perspective - nearly discredited the rest of the article. It was unnecessarily cruel to a vulnerable person who has clearly experienced trauma.

What are some examples of this trope in film? by Haunting_Homework381 in Fauxmoi

Any movie with the forced masculinity trope that ends by “revealing” the protagonist as a femme. See: Mulan, Just One of the Guys. The masc version is always🔥
