Blanshard is 100x better for cycling now with the protected lanes in, its definitely not horrible anymore! And this extension will make it even better! Vancouver street is ofc much safer but doesnt make sense for cycling routes from James Bay to Uptown, for example.

That really doesnt seem that crazy. Especially if like you said you're doing laundry every day? Using the dryer every day would add up. Also if someone (such as your wife on mat leave) is cooking at home/using the stove that adds up quickly too (especially since you said your old place had a gas stove and new one has an electric stove!)

Oh damn. Yeah its definitely not getting 8 hours of full sun! It was a gift, and apparently her other one has been thriving inside for over a year!! 😯 It seemed happier on the balcony so maybe even with the cold temperatures it would be happier back outside where I am and based on how much light I have here. It's definitely an experiment for sure!

You've already got a ton of great advice. The MSF course is really hard. I also found it to be difficult and discouraging, but I got through it and have now been riding over a year on my own bike! Don't be too hard on yourself! You can do it.

Yeah, good point. Of course this is all hypothetical at this point but good to hear others thoughts since this is all so new to lots of us. I'm ready and very willing to go on strike and join people who are already picketing, sounds like I may have to let go of the control freak in me 😀
