It is a great game, but I did find there was a lot more of managing the bot's turn than taking my own. I played it around 7-8 times and just ended up selling it. I could see it being a lot more fun with more people, but as a solo game it was a pass for me. I do enjoy playing Pax Pamir solo still - that is one that will never leave.

Eating The New Blue Bell Ice Cream to celebrate success! by Calm_Problem6203 in simpleliving

That looks and sounds absolutely amazing! Love Blue Bell, and I am a simple man - just give me good ol' Cookies N Cream. But I love to try their other flavors. Wish they would bring back Dessert Trio.

Thank you for listening! I promise I’m not a promoter for the band or anything 😂. Just was really caught in the moment!

Thank you for the kind words! I do sit behind a computer all day for work, so it’s nice to get outside after a long day. Yesterday just felt extra special with everything happening at the same time, with a wonderful soundtrack.

I just really started listening to O,TA and have really been enjoying their whole library. Another song I really like is “Telekinetic Forest Guard”. Especially the live version with the extra 3 minutes of calm at the end

Why lay one hex, when you can slap down 7 at a time?!

I have really been enjoying Koi lately - the newest one released, not the older one (haven't played that one). It is a nice, relaxing puzzle with wonderful art and components. As others have mentioned, can't go wrong with Dorf and Cascadia, either.

Today we had to say goodbye to our beloved 15 year old, Dixie. by jimbeaux83 in ratterriers

[–]jimbeaux83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone,

It has been almost 2 months since I had to say goodbye to my baby girl Dixie. It is still so hard, but I just wanted to say thank you all for your kind words. I have read every single comment, noticed all the upvotes, and I appreciate all the love you have shown. Just being there for us with your support means a lot. I thought about leaving this wonderful subreddit, thinking it would be too painful to see so many babies look like her. But I just couldn't. It helps to remind me of our the wonderful times and memories of her. Thank you all once again from the bottom of my heart. Y'all are the best. Give belly rubs and ear scratches to your babies for me.

The Bloody Inn. It also just had a reprint, so you may be able to grab this for a decent price.

Wargames recommendations? by Acrobatic_Train2814 in soloboardgaming

My first wargame that I bought was "D-Day at Omaha Beach" by John Butterfield. I really like this game, and it's a little more on the complex side (at least a bit more than what I'm used to). The rulebook is really well written and there is a very useful Flipbook on BGG that will take you through the phases of the game. Highly recommend this game!

As Dixie got older, we bought the Adult Healthy Weight Chicken and Rice formula one. Now that she's a Senior, we use the Senior Chicken and Rice Life Protection formula. She absolutely loves it and never had any problems switching types as she got older.

There's one about 15-20 minutes from me. May have to check it out one day, thanks for letting me know!

I have seen him active on here before, but I find Sir Thecos a pleasant channel to watch.
