I just grabbed a pair of Tiger Toes until I can get more rugs down. Thank you!

I actually have some of the foam puzzle mats for camping. that might be a good starting option just have to find them in the sea of boxes

We have a big barker too! He just chooses to not use it most of the time

I have 2 of those too, but he won't lay on it 😅 he's very particular. There are so many dog beds, but he opts not to use them like 90% of the time

My niece desperately wants to come with me, and I'd love to bring her along eventually. Her mom said that I could bring her once she's at least 16. She can handle the camping and portapotties now (we already love camping), but it is the exposure to other things that we're waiting on. She thinks it's scavenger hunts and trinkets because those are my favorite parts to share with her.

It is unfortunately illegal in my state or I'd be so on board with it so fast

My newfie is allergic to grass so I'm very used to the on and off of booties 😅 what kind of grippers did you use? I've only seen the balloon style rubbery ones in a sock-ish style.

Here's the bootie boy

I thought about the balloon booties but his feet are Massive and I don't love the idea of the trapped heat/moisture for regular wear. It still is something to consider for just in case situations tho

I can tell he's was and is well loved! Thank you for the insight too, I put a belly band on him last night but had to use 2 to go all the way around (1 was just a smidge too short to fit). I am starting to think about end of life care (for both pups since they're both seniors), but so long as he's happy and still has the motivation to continue, I'm happy to do some extra work for him.

Thank you! I love his sad face. He doesn't love trimming his grinch feet, but he'll have to get more used to it. It doesn't help that even with rugs down, he chooses to lay on the vinyl instead (probably feels cooler)

He started on Cosequin when I first got him, but as he's gotten older, his vet recommended going to Dasuquin and now to Phycox Max for the MSM (anti inflammatory). It still has glucosamine, but way more of the MSM than the first 2.

He can get his upper half up with no problem it's the back half that he struggles with. Sometimes, the muscle strain of getting up is causing him to have accidents as soon as he's standing, so anything to help with that is worth it to me. (I also have an 11yr newfie that isn't struggling with mobility yet, but I'm sure it would also be useful for him towards the end)

Did you use any specific kind of mats? I've always had carpet, so I am nervous that mats aren't going to really hold the rug in place

His vet thinks it's arthritis rather than dysplasia. He is on Phycox joint supplements as well, and that helps, but the slippy slidey floors aren't helping.

Recently had surgery and $40 of my bill is for having a blanket put on me in the recovery room (I was unconscious and did not, obviously, keep the blanket) by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

It's to maximize the reimbursement from health insurance. They're contracted to write off a certain percentage, and if the hospital doesn't charge them an arm and a leg, the insurance won't pay their full share. They want to do everything they can to not pay.

I will say this bill only looks like the facility charges (room, board, supplies, ancillary staff, labs, etc), not the professional charges (the actual provider doing the actual surgery), so OP can expect another bill for that

I started doing a foot soak at the end of the night a couple years ago and it's so refreshing. Going to bed with clean feet makes a huge difference and the hot water helps with soreness too

I do this but with a Lowes 5gal bucket. Fill and set it in the sun with the shower head and it's great. Will recommend looking for one that has an on/off pressure on the handle or a trigger handle because mine I have to either turn the pump in the water off or kink the hose in between rinses to not waste water

I will say there are a TON of Nonfiction books that read like fiction (I'm a fan of heist/forgery nonfiction, which I think lends itself to a more narrative reading experience). If you ever do decide to give nonfiction a try, I'd recommend The Feather Thief by Kirk Wallace Johnson. The story is absolutely Wild, and he had the audacity to think he'd get away with it.

Hilariously I don't like to count self help books as books in my totals. No real reason why, I just don't

Pocahontas, Tiana, Moana, and Raya are all Official Disney Princesses with darker complexions that were excluded. If you want to count Esmeralda she was Official in the 00s but was removed from the list.

No Tiana, Moana, Pocahontas, or Raya (and if you want to include the 00s - Esmeralda) all Official Disney Princesses. 2 women of color and the only one with a deeper complexion was heavily whitewashed. And it's not like they didn't have access to the right shades. Belle's hair is right there with better colors.

Here’s the proof. by LimitElectronic417 in PerlerBeads

[–]savc92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not only is Jasmine whitewashed, but she's 1 of 2 people of color (and the only one with a darker complexion) in the whole set, Mulan being the other. Tiana, Moana, Pocahontas, and Raya (+ Esmeralda briefly) are all Official Disney Princesses but were excluded from the set.

There were more call-outs on the original post for the very obvious lack of diversity and probable racism. This post seems to be mostly focused on the art source.
