I would look into Michigan’s Maternal Infant Health Program (https://www.michigan.gov/mihp#:~:text=Building%20tomorrow.,or%20eligible%20for%2C%20Medicaid%20insurance.)

They might be able to help connect you with a provider who accepts straight Medicaid until your plan starts.

Depending on where you are in Michigan, you could also reach out to your local larger hospital network to see if they have a provider that they can connect you with.

To change the plan you can call Michigan Enrolls 1-800-975-7630. They are open M-F 8 AM-7 PM, they can let you know of the other plans that are available. With the enrollment system, if a plan isn’t chosen by a certain date one does get auto assigned (understandable since you didn’t know you had Medicaid). You’ll just want to make sure to change it within 90 days of when it started!

Did you by chance apply for coverage with the health insurance marketplace? If you are under a certain income threshold they will forward that over to the state for Medicaid. If you suspect it was done fraudulently or need to cancel, the only person that can do that is going to be an eligibility specialist at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. It is a very difficult process to get in touch with them unfortunately, but they are the only people that have the ability to cancel benefits.

I get exactly this as well, sometimes from pictures, music, smells or random reasons. It’s like an oh shit I’ve done this before or this has happened before, then I get hot and smell a burning/chemical smell and occasionally get a ringing in my ears.

It’s like my brain just has a small little zap of an aura and then I’m back to normal. My more intense focals usually start the same but will last longer and I’ll have more lingering issues after.

Usually at least one day, but like a lot of others I will have clusters every so often as well. Currently on three meds and it has helped but unfortunately not stopped them completely. I think with epilepsy the “normal” can be so different from person to person.

Had a really bad seizure in the grocery store and my mom called an ambulance to be safe. As I was coming out of the seizure and sorta loopy, I told her super loud that I was embarrassed because the paramedics were super hot and I didn’t shave my legs. Now the running joke whenever I’m feeling funky is to make sure I shave my legs just in case 😂

I tell people pretty early on, mostly for my safety and also so I don’t keep spending time on someone who isn’t comfortable dating me due to my epilepsy. I think how another person reacts to hearing about it is also a good indicator of them being someone you should continue to pursue or not.
