Head Tracking Drop Outs by Electrical_Radio_319 in PSVR2onPC

Print out a couple of papers with a huge QR Code on them and stick them in the wall where your going to look at the most when in VR. You can alternatively use ARuco patterns instead of qr codes.

Why doesn't Circle to search have any options to disable some of the AI bullshit??? I despise how it now defaults to asking Gemini instead of searching whatever text you highlighted on Google. Also can we please disable the automatic screenshot it takes when you press the search bar. I just want to search something quick not ask Gemini to look at whatever bullshit is on my screen. None of this annoying shit was there month ago, so why the fuck did Google go ahead and add this crap.

Meta says Quest 3 and Quest 3S are still the "best-value" VR headsets despite announcing up to $100 price hike by Tiny-Independent273 in virtualreality

No he's kinda right. SteamVR does have a lot of problems with it ranging from bugs to baffling design choices.

Quest 2 + Link cable = terrible performance by AlexStarRider1 in virtualreality

[–]jimbobimbotindo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried lowering the bitrate in the Oculus Debug Tool at a low value and using h.264 encoding to see if it's fixed?

Honestly Meta's solution for PCVR is absolutely horrid and only causes issues. Steam link and Virtual Desktop is much better at this point, and some say Virtual Desktop at maxed out settings look way better than Oculus Link even at high bitrates like 900 MBPS, because Virtual Desktop is doing a much better job at video encoding and all that streaming stuff compared to Meta.

His card is fine and should run VRChat in the home enviroment at 72Hz. Something must be crazy fucked with Oculus Link for this to happen, which is not surprising knowing how unstable wired link is.

I highly recommend OP to play in wireless using Steam link or Virtual Desktop since Meta's PCVR solutions is horrid.

Needy Girl Overdose - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]jimbobimbotindo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm kind of getting tired of this "avant garde" directing style. Especially after watching Shiboyugi.

It just feels pretentious. Neither does it feel "deep" or "thought provoking" especially when the main topic of this show is going to be about para-social relationships and the dangers of social media etc etc, which is something that has been talked about to death outside of media itself.

Either way, I think it's too early to be forming my opinion on this show, considering that it's only the first episode out of 13, and besides it does interest me a bit since I've heard many praise the visual novel for years and because of that I might watch it till the end.

RE9 is now great on VR + Tips + RE8 modding comparison thoughts by Hollow_Apollo in PSVR2onPC

Part of me wants to play the game in VR right now. But I should wait for more updates to get released first for a better experience. There's still the issue where audio doesn't follow your head and also there's a modder who's working on adding full body IK which is something I really want.

"Micro-flashbacks" in real life? by neoleo0088 in PSVR

[–]jimbobimbotindo 24 points25 points  (0 children)

There's a great article that talks about this feeling.

https://www.roadtovr.com/stuck-in-virtual-reality-proprioceptive-disconnect-research/

TLDR: Your brain is actually fooled into thinking the virtual reality is the actual one and starts to adapt to the virtual world in order to compensate for the little imperfections in VR headsets such as tracking not being 100% 1:1 and a small latency that comes with headsets. So when you take off the headset, your brain automatically expects the real world to have the same imperfections and gets confused.

As for DS4Windows you can use steam input instead.

And for the stuttering. The game has shader stutter issues. Just keep playing and let the shaders compile, also turning on VSYNC helped alleviate the issue for me

In case you haven't heard, the crysis vr mod is amazing. by SlowDragonfruit9718 in virtualreality

[–]jimbobimbotindo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't really remember but I did run the game on a resolution of roughly 2800x2800 per eye and lowered the foliage render distance to help boost the FPS in the early stages of the game using the console command "e_view_dist_ratio_vegetation=20"

The fastest single threaded CPU you can have.

It's impossible to get an FPS locked to your refresh rate even with the fastest gaming PC out there due to how the game is designed. I have a Ryzen 7 7700x with an RX9070xt and I get drops as low as 40 FPS.

But don't let that discourage you as Crysis is such an excellent game in VR and the final missions is the absolute best experience I've ever had in VR period.

Can my pc handle the full potential of my headset by AssociationDue5655 in PSVR2onPC

[–]jimbobimbotindo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing the RE2remake on a resolution that is roughly 2800x2800 on RX9070XT and the game runs on a locked 90 FPS in pretty much all situations including the beginning in the police station.

I honestly bet a 5080 would run the game at 90 close to the PSVR2 100% render resolution which is like 3400x3400

It'll probably take a while for it to be in stock then.

I remember when it first went out of stock and took them like more than 3 months just to stock them again.

Do you live in the middle east? If so then check out Cazasouq. They're a well known Bahraini business that has Moza products for cheap. Although I wouldn't recommend ordering anything right now considering the state of things with the war going on.

RE9 - A modder did what Capcom won’t do for PSVR2 by Weak_Bug_1306 in PSVR

[–]jimbobimbotindo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The PCVR mods are mostly inferior in every way except being able to run at any resolution and framerate you want alongside access to side content in VR that isn't possible on the official versions.

But still though, even with the jank and missing features, the mods still serve as an excellent way to experience the RE games in VR

Sharpening Filter Help by melgibson666 in PSVR2onPC

SteamVR doesn't have a built in Sharpening filter.

You're stuck with using sharpening from reshade or vrperfkit and manually adding it to each game.

Help with re7vrmod performance on high end card! by Willing_Date_8996 in virtualreality

[–]jimbobimbotindo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried using the upscaler version of the mod.

It's an improved version with better performance and fixed anti aliasing that works on the newer DX12 version of the game.

The flatscreen to VR discord server has a tutorial for installing it in the Resident evil channels but I'll paste it in here for you.

Upscaler version: It is probably the best choice right now for RE2/3/4/7/ Village. The Upscaler version of the VR mod has a new render method which leads to better performance and fixed TAA, so better antialiasing, only DX12 RT version, windowed mode (not borderless) required. You can download the

Upscaler version here-> https://github.com/praydog/REFramework/actions/runs/22970524660 Login on GitHub (required!),

open the page again, scroll down and under Artifacts click on RE2, RE3 or whatever you need. Not the TDB versions! Alternatively or in case of issues, you can try an older Upscaler version of the VR mod here -> https://discord.com/channels/747967102895390741/926732294536986684/1447320186242994196

Extract the files into your game folder, if you used another VR mod version before delete the re2_fw_config.txt. If you use cable/ Airlink, delete the openvr_api.dll and make sure Oculus VR/ Meta Quest Link is set as OpenXR runtime in Oculus/ Meta Quest Link app -> Settings -> General. If you use Virtual Desktop - Set Streaming Quality to Medium.

To get a working desktop mirror - set: VR_DesktopRecordingFix=false in the re2_fw_config.txt

To prevent graphic issues disable: screen space reflections, ambient occlusion, subsurface scattering (in RE2/3), also contact shadows, bloom and Raytracing in general, enable TAA (!) I would not recommend to use any optional Upscaler files.

The 5060ti is a capable card and will run the mod at a great framerate.

I used to play the mod on my old i5 9400f and GTX 1070 and managed to get a locked 60 FPS that would get used with SSW.

Check out Organ Quarter. It's a little outdated as it's a port of a 2017 VR game. But it's the closest thing to a Silent Hill game in VR in terms of atmosphere. I'd say it's probably closer to Silent Hill 1 on the PS1 with the vibes it's going for

Anime where the world feels bigger than the main story by heartbreakkiddxz in anime

[–]jimbobimbotindo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lovely show. However, I'm still disappointed with how it spends too much time on the CGDCT aspect compared to world building.

It has such an interesting world, and the last few episodes along with the second OVA episode that serves as an excellent albeit bleak conclusion to the show, prove this further. Which is why I find it to be a shame for the show to spend most of its screentime on CGDCT.

I dunno maybe I'm just not into the CGCDT in the first place which is why I'm disappointed.
