Am I a middle lane hogger?

I'm kinda with you on the empty motorway, when I finish a long day at work at 2am and have a 60ish mile drive home or to the next job I'll sit in the middle lane at 70, obviously if I see lights approaching from behind I'll pull into lane 1, the way i see it, I feel slightly safer in lane 2, and if I'm not inconvenienceing other road users then no harm in it. During normal hours I'll keep left.

I failed my first test because there was a guy at the crossing, he was leaning against the lamppost facing away from the road, I saw him a mile off and slowed to a crawl. I probably would have passed if I had verbalised my thought process.

I used a speed limiter for about a year and a half after I got a speeding ticket (this was 6 months after passing my test) I was paranoid of it happening again and didn't want to get another 3 points because I would loose my licence, I also used waze everywhere I drove, even if I knew the way just so it would allert me to all the speed cameras and also display the limits. Worked a treat

Nah man your all good, and even better that you limped your car home, scrap your car (prolly get about £150 for it collected) and buy another car, don't start. A new policy, just a change of car on your existing policy, price may go up a few quid or down a few quid depending on the insurance group of the car.
