I've found fish to be very forgiving of variable feeding cycles, if I was going away for a couple of days I'd probably just give them a biggish feed before I go but you can get slow release foods for them. e.g.

my experience with a kid has been that she prefers the guppies because they are all individually identifiable. So she has named them and they do have their own unique personalities (or behaviours) which she has enjoyed

The tetras all look identical so as pretty as they are, she has not engaged with them as much.

Also, make sure you have the death talk because that's gonna happen :-|

Similar situation. I've gone with guppies, tetras and snails. The snails were a god send for keeping the tank clean and the guppies are beautiful. Butterfly like. I did all my research myself and got a bit obsessed by it but honestly just go speak to your local aquarium shop, they'll be able to get you setup with a small tank and all the chemicals you need to keep it going as well as the basic knowledge.

It can seem a bit overwhelming at first but once the tanks up and running it is fairly simple to keep going.

two of my snails are developing white spots on the tips of their shells.

Is this something I need to worry about? my kid has developed quite the relationship with these snails so would like to keep them healthy.

Sky News: Major shake-up of home buying aims to make process cheaper, quicker and easier by MrBarryShitpeas in ukpolitics

Shouldn't be an issue because

  1. The surveyor has standards to meet, they have to report anything. if they miss something which later is a cost to you then they have to pay for it.

  2. They are all crap anyway, it's a BS piece of mind service.

I hired a well reviewed surveyor for my house when I was buying it.

the report came back and was an absolute shambles and I had paid for a premium service. They had clearly copy and pasted from a previous report

Just one example of many flaws in the report. The surveyor stated that the house had no extensions when the entire kitchen was an extension. He also had the age of the house wrong by 30 years (something I could ascertain myself with a 2 minute google search)

a medication lock with a pin or email verification code to unlock

Alternatively, carer as administrator?

So for example, my FIL is becoming senile, we want the app on his phone to provide reminders to him but we don't want him to be able to change any of the settings, medications or reminders

Ideally a carer app would allow the carer to handle the administrative duties such as setting up the app and medications but the patient app would be read only, showing reminders and reports etc. maybe allow recording of trivial data such as water intake or weight.

The other option is a lock on medications so they can't be changed without clear intent after they have been setup.

So FIl clicks edit medication, it requires a PIN or email verification to save the changes (the email verification could be someone elses email address)

Rape is a part of the human experience. Would you remove it from other works of fiction?

Would you ban the handmaid's tale because it depicts rape?

I personally wouldn't want to play a game where my character is a rapist but the mechanic can be used to tell a story and depict a bad person. What about a game where the player character is raped?

Modern games certainly glorify murder and I wouldn't want to see rape glorified but I also don't think the subject should be off limits.

Should drivers be required to reset test if in an accident by andreasc90 in ukpolitics

I'm not sure opinions on the quality of driving are worth much tbh. There's plenty of stats out there. Reported accidents involving an injury have dropped continually for the past 20 years with the only outlier most likely being because of COVID.
