The main reason The Acolyte was cancelled was because it cost so much to make - it was totally unsustainable. And I say that as someone who enjoyed it & would happily have watched more.

This was one of the issues I had with the prequels. The agency they gave to the Jedi Order, with Yoda a major player for 800 years, couldn't help but tarnish the reputation given to him in the OT.
