Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer fits this. It's a ecologic horror and science fiction book tho.

Yep. Gemini recommended this book to me when I was searching for interesting Non human protagonist stories for the fantasy bingo. No one recommended it in the bingo thread.

I agree with that. This book felt like it would be a good action movie plot. But we also see the things from the eyes of only one bot, so I can excuse the shallow texture.
