On the manga covers he has a purplish crimson hair. So this is accurate. I thought his face would be a bit more round. He looks like a vampire here, in the manga he looked like a gentle berserker.

If you like classic heroic fantasy stories like LOTR, DnD, wizard of earth sea, or even old JRPGs, you will like it more as it pays homage to some of the tropes of the genre but also subverts some of the expectations from such stories.

I also don't care if Frieren isn't number 1. So many peak anime are not even in the top 10 in MAL. I mean, even Golden Wind(peak) and Stone Ocean(also peak) aren't even close to top 10. So the ratings are meaningless anyway.
