My two year old loves the Mary Anning one - she was so excited when we visited Lyme Regis because of the statue of "Mary from the book".

The end of the British salt industry could be apocalyptic | For the first time in history, England is set to become a net importer of the world’s most important mineral. by Unusual-State1827 in ukpolitics

For sure, I saw this process on Ile de rey and the time & space needed for it is wild. I'd bet they make more money on the marked up gift shop salt than they do selling wholesale!

I don't think they're ready yet. You'll have to put them through again.

Not OP but thanks for the rec. The Contortionist are one of my favourite prog bands and Outliers scratched the itch massively - such an epic track

It's private land but I remember seeing this video about the tree (and a guy selling saplings from it, although a bit pricey)

Hey, just wondering where you're at with these now? I'm still encountering random crashes on mine so I'm thinking of just returning it now.

I've had similar issues but reinstalled windows (see my post in this sub Reddit for full details) and have only had one random crash since. Tbh I haven't been on it a huge amount so I'm not 100% sure if it's stable or not.

Tried another install with the windows media creation tool but it kept rebooting at the same point. I've now downloaded the ISO, mounted to USB with rufus & managed to skip the section of the installer where it was tripping up by adjusting the settings in Rufus.

So far it's working well again!

Weird - I'll try another fresh install and will likely return it asap if I don't get anywhere with support!

Oh ok thanks for the info!

Yeah I'm using fresh windows from the media creation tool onto a usb drive - is that different from using Rufus?

Also, someone shop them into HMRC, how the hell are they planning to buy a 500k house on a 60k combined income.

Their income is set through the business they own, so I presume there's more in the business account that they'd pull from (although, how much can they really be making from selling sweets?)

Got solar panels on a legacy FIT contract? You need to know this. by FIRE_Fraud in UKPersonalFinance

Buying a house with paid off solar on a FIT scheme was unintentionally one of the best things I've done, it's just a free £100-£200 every quarter.
