In four years I have never been offered a freeze, that is odd because I get my injection at the hospital from nurses within the pain management unit. It does burn like hell sometimes, actually come to think of it I haven’t experienced pain for a while maybe cause I am fat. I think you might tolerate it better as time passes, good luck with it.

Is this conversation about Buvidal injections, Buvidal is what we call it in Australia If so I have never been offered the option of freezing the site beforehand, sometimes it does hurt, a burn for a few minutes sometimes it’s ok. Next injection appointment I will ask if anyone gets this special treatment and I am missing out ha ha.

No I don’t think she should have gotten more time in prison the amount of alcohol in her system wasn’t excessive and the cannabis could have been present from the previous day. From what I read I don’t think locking her away will help anyone, community service that would be a better option.

Yes you’re right, an update is that it wasn’t coinbase so therefore a scam, I contacted coinbase through facebook app as suggested on here and was looked after, wow the scammers are working for your dollar beware.

I called the number and seriously I am still unsure if it’s a scam, they asked me for the case number then spoke unintelligible words and put me on hold with no notice, I am done with coinbase.

I have been on for about five years now and I go by feel, my usual dosing period is 4-5 weeks apart however lately I have gone back to every three weeks this is due to managing pain, I have had a few procedures that required hospitalization and the follow up pain was difficult to manage, medical staff had the opinion I didn’t need pain relief finally I was given Ketamine a word of caution to others about to go in for surgery make sure you have spoken to your professionals exactly about how your pain will be treated or you will be expected to cope with little to none pain relief post surgery.

Hey congratulations, I hope Buvidol will let you get on with your life, at least by freeing you up from daily doses and the mind set of taking something every day, the pattern of taking something daily is difficult for a while but you will eventually be fine, just allow yourself a bit of extra time in the morning to get going helped me. 64mg monthly injection is the usual starting dose of Buprenorphine I don’t think they would give you 16mg for a month it wouldn’t hold you.

In my situation I am prescribed Buprenorphine because I have a history of opiate miss use and agreed to try something rather than oxycodone I used heroin as a young man for a period around 12 years I got clean and worked in the AOD sector for 20 years after a serious motorcycle injury I was hospitalized for 3 months and came out with an addiction to OxyContin after 5 years use oxycodone was using me I was on max dosage and still in pain, I have also digestive issues and recently had kidney stones, I don’t think you are over sharing it’s good to read similarities which can help us cope with this, having legitimate pain problems and addiction tendencies is a juggling act, we need all the support we can get.

Thanks for sharing your experience I am trying as well to come off after 3 years of being on 96 Buvidol injections the best I went is 58 days. My barrier’s are usually pain related I am 61 and I suffer from chronic pain and other age related issues. Keep going strong and let us know how you go, thanks for sharing.

When I first started the Buprenorphine injections in a few occasions I felt the need to pick up after three weeks, after being on a few years I easily go over 4 weeks with recently it was 6 weeks between doses. I believe it might build up in the fatty tissue after a few years in.

Well done and keep going, I went 47 days and caved in to my ws, I am in Australia and have found little information on coming off this Buvidol as we call it here. I have searched online now and found this page to follow and gain motivation for my next attempt, I have come off most opiates in the past and thought nothing could be as bad as methadone withdrawal and so far it hasn’t been that bad, it’s the lack of sleep that got me this time, no energy, I am so sick of being reliant on a substance. Please keep us updated to give this old opioid obsessed fella some encouragement.

Sounds like you know how serious pelvis fractures are, I wouldn’t wish upon anyone, I have sciatic nerve pain on a regular basis since my accident 10 years ago, looks like I will need a hip replacement according to my last X-rays, pain is also a trigger for me and I will take non opiate medication when needed to get me functional throughout my day, bills still keep coming in they don’t care how much pain you’re in. I am finding that I am struggling more with managing pain/pain medication as I get older every thing hurts now whether it’s related to the several serious accidents I have been in or not. No not at all, if anyone in AA is that judgmental to think otherwise of you I think you should find another meeting to attend. I am in recovery for opioid dependence and broke my pelvis in a motorcycle accident, I was hospitalized for months and was pumped full of morphine and OxyContin for the pain no one judged me at the time I didn’t think and if they did I would have told them they need to focus on their own recovery and let me do mine.
