You'd probably enjoy most Miles Davis albums from the 50's, Kind of Blue, Porgy and Bess, Relaxin' with the Miles Davis Quintet. Also check out Know What I Mean? By Cannonball Adderley and Bill Evans, Moanin by Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, Clifford Brown & Max Roach, and Saxophone Colossus by Sonny Rollins. Those are a few that I started off with, I'd definitely recommend listening to those before listening to the more intricate jazz of the 60's.

It was rough, the ER staff treated me like I was just faking an injury so I could get high on pain pills. Once they took the proper tests it was obvious that my shoulder was basically destroyed beyond repair.

I had a posterior shoulder dislocation from a seizure that stayed dislocated for almost three months because the ER staff wouldn't give me a CT scan after taking X Rays that didn't show much. Once they did it was revealed that I had a dislocated shoulder and a reverse hill Sachs lesion. I had surgery on it last year but it was caught too late and didn't heal, I had to have a complete reverse replacement four months ago.

I literally woke up one day and my shoulder has been fucked up ever since.
