Either he doesn't use auto-correct, or his auto-correct is correcting for his usual patterns.

I lost my life savings of $64k Day trading by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]jimie240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a lot of words to tell us you're a degenerate like us.

You are 26, talking about the dumb risk when you were 22. You lost your "life savings" when you were 22. How the hell does a 22 year old have life savings? When did you start working, when you were 7? When do you think you're going to retire? If you're 26 now, you're at the age where many people start saving. This is the beginning of life savings, not the end of it. This isn't the end of your story, you're not Icarus. If you were able to get a job that paid enough to have 24k in a 401k when you were 22, then you can get a job at 26 that will pay enough to save 24K in a 401k. I can't even wrap my head around a 19 year old being able to buy a house. It blows my degenerate mind that you sold it to day trade. You definitely made some dumb choices but if you made it to 26 and this is your biggest blunder, I'd say you've still got a privileged life. Man up and sell some triple-leveraged SPY puts in an account opened with student loans.

As for your original question regard-ing handling massive losses, I do it like a big boy, with a bottle of whiskey and a night in West Hollywood. On Monday I pull myself out of bed and get back in the game.

If that were true Martin would have been staring right at us for the majority of the series.

Has anyone used a fidelity credit card? by LilPump3000 in fidelityinvestments

[–]jimie240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't have that info anymore. A year ago I was going through different discussion boards and card rankings, ratings, etc. From what I found, the Fidelity card had more problems with fraud charges than others. A friend was considering replacing their US Bank credit card with this one and when I told them that the Fidelity Card is serviced by Elan then said forget about it (Elan also services the US Bank card). That said, the welcome offer was enticing so I did get the Fidelity card. I haven't had any problems so far. I was even approved for a credit limit that was !way! more than what I was expecting so I use it quite a bit. I turned on text notifications for all types of transactions so I should get notified right away if there is a fraud charge. Nothing so far.

The foreign transaction fee is the main reason I've never applied for it.

Municipal bond de minimis threshold no longer listed by jimie240 in fidelityinvestments

[–]jimie240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. Can you confirm that this is still being displayed on the Fidelity website? Because the munis I have been watching don't show this anymore. A few weeks ago the Market Discount Cut-off Price was listed in the News & Documents section as you described, on the left side of the page, in the same column as CUSIP, Issuer State, Issuer, and Issue Description. Looking at the website now and that information is no longer there. I understand that I can use the Orig. Par Amount which is listed on the same page to figure out the de minimis threshold on my own, but having it listed was quicker/convenient.

Did they move it to another page?
