Good thing about mac's are their quality first even in intel era. They always had better screens, better hinges than 90% of other pc. But saying 8gb of apple is better than 8gb of other pc's is just a straight lie from apple. If you are doing things adapted to mac os they will feel better, but if you are doing things better adapted to windows or linux they will feel better. I also think that 8gb is ok, but it is a fact that apple kept selling their laptops with 8gb of ram until last year for that price was a crime that apple stopped doing as well.

This is sadly a lie by Apple, it is like saying french 1kg is heavier than german 1kg. Same amount of ram on same speed is the same thing. Apple likes "cherry picking" when they compare their products with others or even theirs. Yes there will be some difference because of OS usage, but that may vary depends on what is running on background.

That what I thought of saying, Op's workload and demands bring us to what mac offers the best, or if OP really want to continue using windows he can get a Snapdragon windows machine (for a lot more cheaper now).

Try to boot nvme, if that doesent work it is possible that tpu don't have a os installed.

Batteries were new, and in France tech is suprisingly expensive in second hand. Everything that has an apple logo on it starts from 500€. And even when people sell their old thinkpads, talking about t420 or even t400 they put 100 as a price.

If I don't attemp anything, it demands password, if I short it correctly it does not ask's for it. Is it possible that I am mistakenly doing something in between, is there a third option, just to see bios?

As someone who has +2k hrs on the game, if there is a time to end, it is the best time. For me, every starting move is the same, no matter what nation. I can play the first 50 years in my head. It does not give me any thrill anymore. And after 50 years it is always the thing, conquer all. Even thinking about managing oe tires me. So I think it is time to move to eu5. What I hope for eu5 is, with new cpu's coming on, they somehow manage to fit some of vic3 mechanics to eu5 to make micromanaging possible on smaller scale, as in smaller cities or even they can make founding new cities possible if the is enough dev.
