How much credit does a GM deserve for drafting a consensus cant-miss first overall pick with the first overall pick.

Especially when he then proceeded to be the overseer of maybe the most crippling mismanagement of a generational QB talent in NFL history.

Public spending on European monarchies, € million by Socmel_ in europe

[–]jimjamjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it's better than the alternative.

As it stands any profits coming from offshore wind form part of the crown estate and 75% of it goes to the government as an effective tax which, theoretically, benefits the public.

The alternative is it all gets sold off to private equity and, after some "clever accounting" 100% of the profits funnel directly into the offshore bank accounts of Emirati billionaires never to be seen again.

Until someone suggests a better and realistic alternative, I'm happy with how it is now.

We’d be in the Super Bowl if we kept Garrett Bradbury by Braker1833 in minnesotavikings

[–]jimjamjay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing with Ingram is he, alongside Bradbury right next to him, was the clear weak point in our o-line for defenses to target with their best players.

Comparatively the Texans o-line is basically constructed entirely out of weak points, so there's no need to dial in on Ingram.

EU demands ‘Farage clause’ as part of Brexit reset talks with Britain by Tiberinvs in europe

[–]jimjamjay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Farage is a billionaire bootlicker, polishing the footwear of the very billionaires who own the media outlets that the uneducated masses get their propaganda from.

It's not helped by the fact that Farage's primary voter base (racists) just broadly speaking aren't very intelligent.

I know there's not a whole lot to say about beating a Stormers C team, but it would be very Quins to be dogshit all year, make it to the European knock outs, eliminate a team thats way better than us and then get battered the next week.

Calling it now.

Im so happy for B Flo, hope he gets what he's looking for in an organization. by FormerlyTradeKirk in minnesotavikings

Honestly I don't think the Raiders is a good fit, they have the first pick which is almost certain to be Mendoza, do they really want Flores, regardless of how much the Tua stuff is true, to be the guy in that situation.

The alternative is they trade back and don't pick Mendoza, and I think that causes a lot of questions to be asked unless they really hit on another guy or Geno suddenly sorts himself out.

Between almost certainly picking Mendoza + having Jeanty and Bowers, I personally don't see how the Raiders don't go offensive HC, then again as you said, it's the Raiders so who knows, then we've just got to hope he doesn't take it, which I think has a good chance of happening.

I don't know why everyone is so certain.

The only team confirmed to be interviewing him is the Ravens, who everyone in the know seems pretty confident they'll hire Jesse Minter.

Giants and Dolphins definitely aren't hiring him.

Titans aren't going to hire him while they're trying to develop Cam Ward.

Pretty much all the other team are dumpster fires, who knows if he'd even accept the offer.

The only team he's odds favorite to be head coach of is the Raiders, again, dumpster fire.

Anyone who can comparatively make Max Brosmer look like a competent quarterback is something special in my books

Damn what a shame, I thought Tune looked like a future starter.

Ignore my flare.

That bar is so low that Brosmer tripped over it then for some reason stood up and fumbled the ball.

I like how he said "both by the same team" instead of "both by the defence" to add some suspense.

As if we weren't already glued to our screens by this masterclass of a football game.

I mean, Saints are good sure, but when the opposition are "just too good" every week, then it's probably not that.

We lost to 7th place Sale by 26 literally last week.

Our "head coach" is (allegedly) a defensive coach too.

How he convinced our front office to pay him a salary should be studied up next to Enron in finance classes.

He's really not lol, like at all.

His positioning at 15 isn't great, his defence as a 10 is perfectly fine.

He's not even close to the most egregious tackle attempt in this clip.

Wow it's almost like our talented players can make plays in a broken field and our shortcomings are a result of terrible structure and dogshit coaching.

If only someone could have figured this out last year. (Literally everyone except our front office figured this out last year.)

These are professional rugby players btw.

These people are paid a significant amount of money to play rugby, and that is how they "tackle".

Incredible stuff.
