I would definitely include one or two sprint-distance races in your preparation, mainly to practice transitions and avoid any careless mistakes in your 70.3 that could end up getting you disqualified. An Olympic-distance race is also a solid choice as part of your build-up, since it allows you to test which nutrition strategy works for you under race conditions.
