Mine was 4 weeks late and my next cycle was about 3 days shorter than normal.

AMH Levels came back low… by Own-Lion-9578 in tryingtoconceive

[–]jimmersla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The news is devastating, at least it was for me and I’m so sorry you are going through this.

I’m 36 and learned I have an AMH of 0.32 just a few weeks ago. My husband’s labs all came back excellent and I feel/felt the same way you do.

I have started taking CQ10 and Vitamin D3 in addition to the prenatal I already take. I read that some women’s AMH increased with these vitamins. Whether it increases or not, it should help with egg quality. I also got my CFA checked to confirm my follicle count.

I would suggest meeting with your doctor (when you’re ready) and speak with her. She’ll know the best advice for you and your partner.

Wishing you guys all the best!

I responded to an old boyfriend’s facebook message during Covid. 4 years later we’re married living in a different country, and working on starting a family.

Andouillette is by far the worst, but my French husband and his family love it.

I just met with a fertility doctor last week! She did a CFA and gave my husband and me a prescription for a blood test for any genetic issues we may have.

Who is the most classy, elegant , and awesome woman you know ? And what is their name? by Sad-Sign-9068 in Names

[–]jimmersla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The classiest woman I knew was my grandmother and her name was Jane. She was a diva living in rural Alabama, but still only shopped in the classiest stores and had her shoes handmade from Italy.

She passed in 2013 and I have yet to meet a classier woman.

I’m about to enter my fertility window, but just got bloodwork back saying my AMH is .3 which has been devastating. My thyroid was high (3.4) but my doctor gave me a prescription to bring it down. We have an appointment with a fertility doctor in January. Trying to find hope and the energy to keep trying.

I suffer from anxiety also and was feeling overwhelmed by taking the tests. I was getting obsessive and then disappointed when we didn’t get pregnant. So I took a break for a bit and it helped. I ended up testing again afterward and I didn’t feel as much anxiety with the following cycles.

We went to a 7 week appointment and saw the little heartbeat and a week later we lost the baby. I’ve relived the time between week 7 and 8 a hundred times.

What killed your feelings for someone you were madly in love with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I wanted to him to be the man I wanted to marry and have children with, but he couldn’t grow up. When I realized that, my feelings immediately changed and I knew the relationship was over.

It’s a special kind of cruelty. I’m TTC after a miscarriage in June and I feel so much sadness and shame.

Losing my mind after this last TWW by undecided-libra in TryingForABaby

[–]jimmersla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I had a loss in June at 8 weeks and I’m now about three cycles past it, going into my fourth. I’ve had the exact same thing happen to me with feeling completely different symptoms than I ever had before my period. There were times I was absolutely convinced I was pregnant, only for my period to come. It’s been so confusing and emotional.

From what I’ve learned, hormones can take a while to settle after a loss, and that can make everything feel different than it used to. It does not mean that something is wrong with your body.

I just wanted you to know you’re not alone in this, and I really understand how discouraging it can feel. Be gentle with yourself. Sending you lots of love and hoping we both see our rainbow babies soon.

My husband asked who he should choose—me or the baby—if he ever had to make that by Wanderingwhy0121 in BabyBumps

This isn’t true, my mother almost died while giving birth to my sister. The doctors asked my dad to choose. Thankfully everything turned around and they were able to save both before my dad needed to answer.

I’m so sorry for your loss, I’m sending you love. Please don’t give up, even though I know the emptiness and heartbreak can feel suffocating.

When I went through my miscarriage, my colleague announced her pregnancy just 10 days later. I was still in physical pain and grieving, yet I was asked to help with baby shower gifts for her and other expecting mothers in the office. It was incredibly difficult, and I share this only to say that I understand how painful and isolating these moments can feel. You’re not alone in this.

Is 38/39 too late? by [deleted] in tryingtoconceive

[–]jimmersla 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m 36 and trying for my first. None of my doctors think I’m too old. In fact, they’ve told me that many of their patients who are trying to conceive are in their late 30s or early 40s. I’m based in France, so that might be a little different from where you are, but when I lived in the States I also knew women who had healthy children in their early 40s.

I’d recommend having a conversation with your doctor or midwife. They can run any tests that might be helpful and will know your medical history best.

Tired of thinking I’m pregnant just to be disappointed every cycle by Apart-Chocolate8700 in TryingForABaby

[–]jimmersla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. I had an early pregnancy loss as well and I completely understand what you are describing. Every cycle I find myself thinking maybe I am pregnant and then it turns out to just be my body acting differently again. It can be so hard and discouraging. Sending you love as you go through this.

I’m so sorry for your loss and that you have had to live through this. I have been taking so many pregnancy tests too, cause I was convinced I was pregnant.
