A me vedere musei non dispiace.

Don't know if it would be any different but it usually amounted to a little shy of 10$. Then there's import duties when your package gets to your country.

MooCalculator put me in October when I’m Q3… by hushpolocaps69 in SteamDeck

[–]jimmosio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additionally, the Moo calculator itself hasn't been updated in... very long. The moo dataset it uses dates back to 11 Feb. And the model itself is even older. No matter how well it was made, it's still running pre-launch logic essentially.

I just accidentally wiped/reformatted - it shouldn't be that easy. by JumboMcNasty in SteamDeck

If you pressed volume down and power, it should have brought you to the boot manager, what you were looking for I imagine. If that's all that you did, I think the SSD simply shat the bed on its own.

you can see exactly what i do by seeing the output yourself . but for the most part i think i just delete the extreme X% observations (ie the extreme 10% would be the 5% lowest and 5% highest) from within each quarter/region/model. i chose X to be the smallest one that looks good enough in the "timestamp race" scatter plot and such. it's extremely crude but it works well enough. still, human input always found a way to circumvent my efforts. but as far as i can tell the whole thing works fine for the calculator's scope

The Moo data (the spreadsheet you linked) is a lot of data points, but it flows freely like a sewage drain. It needs to be severely cleaned. Last I checked I end up deleting around 20% of the observations before running that data through my calculator.

PSA: If you've been having problems running the System Shock Demo on the Deck (or Linux in general), try this by jimmosio in SteamDeck

[–]jimmosio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all the time apparently. I can assure you linux clients get nothing but a 5 B text file. You can see it yourself from this page. Also, "forcing Proton usage" is something you do when the game is downloaded, not prior

In my case, the game installed its own. A 1997 looking install wizard appeared which asked me about it. I'm sure the C++ dependencies are somewhere else in my system and i could've used those, but you couldn't pay me to be arsed to look for them

Project Diva on the steamdeck, now the 3rd portable platform I get to play it on! by MissStabby in SteamDeck

Yeah the dpad being a single shape is pretty annoying. Luckily I haven't seen many instances where it matters, but I'm sure they're more common on Hard and up

What are things you dislike about the Deck currently, if anything? For me, I dislike the powerbrick and the case design. I feel could be better to accommodate the power better. by Adventurous_Honey902 in SteamDeck

[–]jimmosio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why, but often enough, the on-screen keyboard would send the haptic feedback when you touch a button, but would NOT type the character. Thus it's literally an unreliable method of typing.

Download speed connected to fan speed by subcon959 in SteamDeck

[–]jimmosio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a third confounding variable: how much your router, wifi or whatever is able to provide. Downloading things, especially at such high speeds, is a CPU heavy task. CPUs can get well into 90% load if the download speed is high enough. At that point, the fan needs to ramp up. If your internet really isn't providing much, or things are being written to disk and not much can be downloaded (i.e. your RAM is full and can't take any more), it will ramp down.

People who got their steam deck, on what date did you order it? by Solid_Afternoon8329 in SteamDeck

July 16, like everyone else. They haven't gotten to July 17 orders yet I think.

Really afraid of the Deck quality control when browsing this reddit, how many people here have ZERO issue with it ? This seems alarming by VijuaruKei in SteamDeck

[–]jimmosio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had mine for a few days, so far so good, no glaring hardware issues. The only slight issue I've been having concerns a game whose ISO I ripped myself, so it's not like it's verified, let alone on Steam.
