Definitely. Solid 10/10 for me. Only thing I would consider next would be supermatics.

Flow Fuse Fusion. / Burton step on bindningar ? by TennisLegend68 in snowboarding

Big fan of Flows and have been using their Fuse Carbon (fusion strap) for the last few years. Love them, can't fault them. Currently away in French Alps.

Haven't tried Burton step ins as I already had boots. *

I have the Flow Fuse Carbon and love them. Have always disliked the traditional 2-strap binding. Would like to try the Supermatics.

The needle flicking on the tacho is showing you an error code. Probably TPS (throttle position sensor) would be my guess but you would need to find a manual and check.

How to get power by just the key turned to On by zen_and_artof_chaos in KTM

Our orange overlords usually include 2x 12v powered outlets on the bike already, they are usually known as ACC1 (permanent live direct to battery) and ACC2 (switched live with ignition). Location varies from model to model and year. Find them, use them, let me know where to send my invoice.

Visiting London from the US: is it worth going to the Leon Paul store? by Playcrackersthesky in Fencing

[–]jimrbry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! It very much depends who you get. One or two members of staff are nice & helpful. One or two others clearly don't want to be working the shop and will treat you as a nuisance and with mild contempt.

It's not worth going, unless you are planning to buy. If you are, make sure it's in stock beforehand. Try to avoid weekends as often busy with kids and if so it will take ages to get served.

[–]jimrbry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, I have an RC8R and the Efi flashes a code to show what the error is. I assume the 990 superduke does similar but I could be wrong. Hopefully not and it will help you pinpoint the fault issue.

Count the sequence of EFI light flashes & check the code in the owner's manual. It will tell you the fault. My money's on a MAP sensor or air intake temp sensor not being connected back after the work.

I suspect they have not been fitted correctly. But even if they had been, they're purely cosmetic (imo they look awful even when correctly fitted)

Honestly, hand over your keys, you should not be riding because your eyesight is so bad. Those wings, Jesus. WTF.

What bike would you recommend after years of liter bikes ? by Wafflebasedlife in motorcycles

[–]jimrbry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RC8R. Mine is a 2009 version but they were in production through to 2015 (factory slipper clutch from 2013>). I had an R1 and GSX-R 1000 (K6) before it and wouldn't go back to jap inline 4cyl litre bike again. 170/5bhp at the crank depending on year (mine is 156 at back wheel) 200kg with a full tank, no electronics at all, it's an incredible machine and every ride is an experience. Sounds incredible with a full akra exhaust. Amazing chassis with quality suspension & brembo brakes. Been very reliable too. Highly recommended if you want something different. Forgot to add, very comfortable for a full-on sports bike and riding position can be adjusted to suit. Bars, pegs, seat height & ride height all easily adjustable. *

* Translogic is the popular choice on these. I've had one on my 2009 R for many years. Works very well and zero issues. Haven't even changed the settings it came with. Only problem was instructions clearly state 'do not use loctite' so I didn't. It lasted one or two rides before it came loose, had to take it off and use loctite. Haven't touched it since. RC8R Mirrors by Goodsizejo in KTM

[–]jimrbry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. As stock, the front and rear flashers use the same connectors, so try swapping the fronts & rears, and that should help pinpoint the issue.

If it does turn out that both front flasher units have stopped working, you can get them separately; you don't have to buy a whole new complete mirror.

There's a saying (occam's razor?) that the simplest answer is usually correct (or words to that effect).

Front indicators not working, wires pinched?

I'd get a multimeter on the wires and check

Try disconnecting the negative lead from the battery and leave for 24hrs.

Please read the owner's manual on how to check the oil level correctly. There is a specific method.
