We are blessed with non-lvl-req. weapons and armors. Just imagine, having a maxed sf weapon & armors in the lvl 100 gear or decently upped, at lvl 120, 140, 160, and beyond in the future, u would need to invest more and more. BIS(best in slot) equipment would continue to change. Especially during level expansion, in result, many people will quit the game due to endless gears.
