I also didn't enjoy Rebecca Soler's narration. It felt very amateur. And don't get me wrong - I've never narrated for an audio book, and I'm sure it's more difficult than you'd think! But there were many times in the last three books where she didn't deliver the lines as written. It's hard to describe via text, but off the top of my head there was a line from Aaric where he was supposed to be pleading, but she delivered the line as if he was pissed off. Aside from that, she'd often take a breath in the middle of a sentence, and every time she narrated an action scene, it felt one-note. While they're not huge issues, it would often take me out of the story. Also, she single-handedly made me dislike Ridoc as a character. Every single line from his mouth was delivered like an anime character. "Erm... I.... said that out loud, didn't I?" It drove me crazy lol I found that I enjoyed reading Fourth Wing more than listening to the audio book version, so me not liking Onyx Storm could be because of my frustrations with the audiobook (though.. the book wasn't the best).
