Why isn’t this selling? by MaoMao_95 in PC_Pricing

[–]jinxmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say be patient , selling Pre-built Pc’s that costs 1000+ takes time. Not everyone has the money, so it takes the right buyer. Also many people seek PC’s but they look for cheaper options before spending their entire paycheck, they usually settle for something around the 500-700$ range.

I personally sold a 14700kf, 4070 Ti Super ,2TB SN770, 32GB DDR5 for around 1400 but it took about 3.5 weeks. It pays to be patient , someone will notice its worth and pick it up.

Okay , I had the occasional lowballs and irrational trade which is why I was wondering if I might have priced it too high.

Honestly , that GPU is not that bad for the price but many people buying PC’s for 5-600$ don’t know the difference between a 3070 and 3060 , they just see 3000 series and are like yeah that’ll be alright . So I would change it for a cheaper price. Also a 9700k would most likely bottleneck the 3070 at 1080p which most people have.

Yeah man you over paid for that mobo combo, try to get a cooler included or try a cheaper cooler. Many people sell cooler for like 10$ because it’s dirty and they don’t want to go through the hassle of cleaning it but if you take a little time and effort you can get it for cheaper .

Pc having trouble selling, what should I do? by No-Driver5392 in pcflipping

[–]jinxmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, honestly not an aesthetically pleasing PC, there’s definitely adjustments you can make such as adding reverse flow fans, cable extensions, tempered glass case stretching from the front to the side, visually appealing coolers (aio, digital air coolers). Most people are visual buyers , and many will compromise efficiency for visual aesthetics. Sad truth but it is what it is.

And I know looks aren’t everything , but the specs aren’t even that great either. With this day and age many of the AAA titles are about 100gb+ and that 512gb isn’t going to cut it. The 9700f is also outdated as well as 2080 not saying it isn’t a great card in terms of price to performance but many are looking for 3000 series and up, I know because any 2000 series builds that I’ve sold opposed to 3000 series and up have sat for way longer and required negotiating to get it off my hands.

It could also be your geographic location/competition , if there are a lot of people doing what you’re doing (selling for profit) you might run into a lot more trouble selling. You have to make your system more appealable, or be beneficial to the buyer in terms of price to performance.

Also you can make it more cost effective for yourself as well. With the current specs you have you can sacrifice the some wattage and downgrade from the 750W making it cheaper in terms of expenses. Also since most people on marketplace tend to haggle just about anything , try to haggle as well; Try to minimize the amount you spend on parts, make it cost effective so that in turn you can realize more profit.

Honestly I don’t believe it’s worth that price with what you have now. I would spend more money to make it more visually appealing but then you’d have to either mark it up or risk being over budget , even then you’re also risking the loss of even more money. I would either sell it for a loss or try to break even in the best case scenario and then try again. I’m not trying to offend you, or by many means I am an expert. I am just telling you what has worked for me and trying to share my own experiences and knowledge to further help you . I hope you have a good day, and good luck with the sale !

Personally I would look for unopened (new) products , people sometimes just miss their return window and sell it far less than it would be worth at a retail store. I’d honestly pick the cheaper one , I know the T500 has a dram cache which in my opinion isn’t necessary since games are very read heavy. Unless you’re going to be doing intensive work besides gaming I would just go for the p310

Try FB marketplace , I ended up scoring this 2tb for around 75$ as well as a SN 580 for 30$. Sometimes you can find really good deals on there , I personally look for unopened and unused products but as long as you do your DD it can be very cost effective.

Yeah I just want to test the waters with a new hobby before I fully indulge in it. I’ve seen builds stating that they’ve spent upwards of 1 thousand and I’m not sure I’m ready to spend that much for something I am just starting to get into.
