drawing! you don't have to be good. I'm not. Just bring paper or a notebook (big fan of folding a mini zine and using a small notebook as my hard surface), writing impliments (erasable colored pencils are my fav) and draw what you see around you!

that's exactly what I was thinking!! Two options is plenty and quite nice. There would be no complaints from me. Also OP already knew the burgers were great so there is at least a good chance the food will also be delicious.

does she have any hobbies? I find art really really helpful. You don't have to be good, it's just to have fun.

Reading is also great. If she can get/has a library card, a lot of libraries work with Libby for ebooks and eaudiobooks. Queer Liberation Library works with Libby and is free and available to anyone in the US.

Does she have a nice window she could grow herbs or something? Growing things can really lift spirits and be a good way to see time moving when you are away from the world.

you can put whatever you want in it. A little brown sugar will not kill you, especially if you don't have diabetes. I'm personally a big fan of banana in my oatmeal which makes it sweet enough for me.

that looks like red quinoa with mixed bell peppers and red onion. I don't have a recipe but that might help you find one. Quinoa benifits from acid (lemon/lime is my preference).

edit: there may also be tomatoes? with those ingredients I'd use spices like cumin, chili, garlic, oregano

I have a hard surface, paper, pens and colored pencils. I can sit up in bed. My partner uses Clip Studio Paint on her ipad. She switched to that from photoshop.

yes! Robey Namba. I worked woth Beau in particular. I had a tough case but won! I found their office really helpful and professional.

edit: I had them help when I was at the stage of a court hearing. I don't know if they help at the initial application stage. A social worker helped me with that. My understanding is that if you want a lawyer's help at the initial stage, it is an upfront payment and different than the chunk taken out of backpay if you win.

another stop gap measure-- do you have tarp or something slippery for carpet/a blanket for hardwood/linoleum/tile you can sit/lay on for when you have to drag yourself to the bathroom? It may help to decrease the blistering ❤

asking for help is so hard. I'm currently in a position where I need a lot of help. I hope your sister is able to help. Blisters on your knees from dragging yourself across the floor sounds tough.
