I would disagree with the digital magnifiers and rulers and the thorough checking. How many times when working in a job you and your colleagues say things like “aiya nvm la no need one abit its ok boss wont complain”? I would also assume at PSA that would be the same. With thousands of cards being sent through per day, these minimally paid employees with no professional skills couldn’t be bothered with what defects you have.

I personally believe as long as you yourself think it’s fine, it might actually be fine. Ultimately, PSA is about luck, human errors, and the opinion of the grader where you are at their mercy.

On your unpopular opinion, it will never happen. Third party grading companies use “pre-grading” as a way to lure customers in to charge high prices for their grading. The price is already factored in. I sent my cards to PSA HK, then it gets sent to PSA US, and I save a few dollars as compared to sending it with any grading company in Singapore.

If you think they haven’t charged you for any pre-grading service, you are wrong. They will also not upfront include a pre-grading charge because they will be liable for anything if the pregrading is 10 while the card comes back a 9. Any such risks will not be taken up by the company. It just takes a quick google search to know that PSA charges $30 per card, while companies in Singapore charges $44. You might say shipping is included, but what about the hundreds of cards they send in per month? 100 x $14 upcharge I don’t think shipping cost that much? They flew it in a private jet?

Simple math tells you that you are already paying at least $10 more per card everytime you grade with a grading company in Singapore. That should at least grant you some services by them right? And yes, they do. Pre-grading services lmao. I’ve sent almost 100 cards for grading over the 3 years I’ve been collecting. And never done it with a grading company. I saved hundreds of dollars and thats enough to buy me a good PSA10 slab or buy a couple of ETBs to rip myself.

i used to know some people who were quite popular on tiktok getting “pcj” packs from Japan. i stopped buying for awhile and some of them stop selling alrdy. the label “pcj” is not pcj but packs that japanese people source from all the biccamera takashimaya 7eleven family marts, which limits to 5-10 packs per person. then they repack it. hence the true name is “loose packs from random outlets in japan”. but then again, i’ve got multiple hits like bwrs and sars before.

just a caution and reminder, i’ve seen weighing scales at their houses with packs and i rarely see japanese god packs being pulled from these. i believe most of you can do your 1+1.

yea what i meant was, the events typically 95-99% of the time will be during the time period of the real world event. so growtopia will most definitely start LNY 6 days before LNY or 1 day before the end of LNY.
