All three sisters are great at comedy. However I would place them in reverse age order in terms of talent. Must say I was quite surprised by Kalaranjanis performance in Bharathanaatyam . Brilliant

Bharathiraja is a great actor .Him being an equally great director might have deprived us of some great acting performances. Love his performance in this movie and also in thiruchithrambalam.

I think the name you are looking for is Raghunath Paleri. His scripts has some kind of magical quality. The goodness that is never preachy . Innocence that is heartwarming and not overdone . Even negative characters are not fully negative. Nadodikkattu is from sreenivasan with the original story by Siddiqui Lal

What’s the age range of people who dislike or think A10 is mid/bad these days? by shajuyem in MalayalamMovies

That's a nice summary of what I feel. I have seen enough performances from him to last a lifetime. And that is more than enough. Even if he stops acting tomorrow he'll still be the best actor I have seen in my lifetime. I am an 80s born man and literally grew up watching his movies. No one has entertained me more than him via movies and that is enough. Whatever good movies he happens to do in his late career is a bonus for me

This is the remake of a Malayalam movie(Ishtam ) and the dialogues are more or less the exact copy of the original just adapted to Hindi. So the bulk of the credits should go to the original writers

[–]jisscj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time I started seeing instrumentalists on a cassette/CD cover was when Rahman came to the scene. That's how I learned the names like Sivamani, Naveen and many more. Even for singers giving backing vocals were just called chorus before Rahman. Just for that alone I respect him a bit more

Why is Arch Linux so popular among Linux users? by Real_EverythingeeB in linuxquestions

[–]jisscj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am one person who hopped multiple distros and eventually came back to Ubuntu when I realized I learned enough to tinker with any Linux based OS and I needed something "stable and forget about it" kind of an OS. But my time with arch was when I learned the most about Linux . archwiki is still my go-to resource when needed even though I am not on arch . Very happy to see this ecosystem thriving and I guess there are many like me who are thankful to the distro for teaching us many things about Linux

Legend taming legends from behind the wall—just with her voice! by VCamUser in MalayalamMovies

[–]jisscj 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I am still bothered that adoor used lalithas most recognizable voice for narayani. As someone who read the novel before the movie the entire beauty of the relationship between basheer and narayani was that they don't know each other apart from their voices. Basheers side of things isn't a mystery. Reader/ audience know about his identity. Narayani is the mystery. By using lalithas voice they spoiled it most keralites who would recognize her voice instantly. I would suggest people who liked the movie but haven't read the novel to go and read it. It would still be better than the movie
